What are the hazards of cardiogenic liver injury?

What are the hazards of cardiogenic liver injury?

The hazards of cardiogenic liver damage cannot be ignored, and these diseases may easily cause some complications, such as secondary bleeding or infection, and cause acute liver, kidney and lung dysfunction.

(1) Bile leakage from liver wound

It can cause bile peritonitis or localized abdominal abscess, which is also a serious complication. The method to prevent bile leakage is to carefully ligate or suture the broken large and small bile ducts during surgery and place a drainage tube. After bile leakage occurs, a "T"-shaped tube drainage is placed in the common bile duct to reduce the pressure in the bile duct and promote healing.

(2) Secondary bleeding

It is mostly due to improper wound treatment, leaving dead space or necrotic tissue, leading to secondary infection, rupture of blood vessels or fall of ligature, resulting in rebleeding. When the amount of bleeding is heavy, another surgery is required to stop the bleeding and improve drainage.

(3) Infectious complications

There are liver abscess, subphrenic abscess and incision infection, etc. Thorough removal of devitalized liver tissue and contaminants, proper hemostasis, and placement of reliable and effective drainage are effective measures to prevent infection. Once an abscess is formed, it should be drained promptly.

(4) Acute liver, kidney and lung dysfunction

Extremely serious and difficult to treat complications with a poor prognosis. It is often secondary to severe complex liver damage, prolonged shock after massive blood loss, prolonged blockage of blood flow to the liver, severe abdominal infection, etc. Therefore, timely correcting shock, paying attention to the time of blocking blood flow to the liver, correctly treating liver wounds, placing effective abdominal drainage, and preventing infection are important measures to prevent this type of multiple organ failure, and are currently the best treatment for multiple organ failure.
