Damp-heat and blood stasis is the name of a disease in Traditional Chinese Medicine. It mainly refers to the accumulation of damp heat in the body. At this time, some symptoms often appear. For some women, the most common one is dysmenorrhea. Before and after the menstrual period, abdominal pain often occurs, which can cause low back pain and increase menstrual blood volume. Symptoms such as red tongue and yellow and greasy tongue coating will usually appear. For such patients, it is necessary to strengthen nutrition in time and carry out regular treatment. Symptoms of damp-heat stasis Lower abdominal pain or bloating before or during menstruation, with a burning sensation, or pain extending to the lumbar region, or lower abdominal pain at ordinary times, which worsens before menstruation; heavy menstrual bleeding or long menstrual periods, dark red in color, thick in texture, or with a lot of mucus; frequent vaginal discharge, which is yellow, thick, and has a foul odor; or accompanied by fluctuating low fever, yellow or red urine; red tongue, yellow and greasy tongue coating, and slippery or stringy pulse. Some chronic gonorrhea, that is, gonorrhea with a course of more than one month, is often diagnosed as damp-heat and blood stasis syndrome by traditional Chinese medicine. Its main symptoms are reduced pyuria, but painful and difficult urination, lower abdominal distension and pain, and in severe cases, urethral stenosis and vas deferens obstruction. Accompanied by irritability and thirst, but no desire to drink, insomnia and dreaminess, dizziness and headache, dark red tongue or with ecchymosis, yellow and greasy tongue coating, and deep and smooth or thin and astringent pulse. This is because the damp-heat evil has been blocked for a long time, which consumes Qi and blood. When Qi and blood are blocked, urination becomes painful and difficult, and the lower abdomen becomes bloated and painful. In severe cases, urethral stenosis and vas deferens obstruction may occur. Thirst without desire to drink, insomnia, dreaminess, dizziness and headache are all caused by internal blood stasis. The tongue is dark red or has ecchymosis, the tongue coating is yellow and greasy, and the pulse is deep, smooth or thin and astringent. According to the theory of traditional Chinese medicine, these are all signs of damp-heat and blood stasis. For patients with damp-heat and blood stasis, the treatment is mainly to clear away heat and dampness, and to promote blood circulation and remove blood stasis. Preventive care Pay attention to hygiene during menstruation and after childbirth to reduce the occurrence of dysmenorrhea. Patients should keep warm during menstruation and avoid catching cold; keep a happy spirit and smooth Qi flow so that the menstrual blood can flow smoothly; pay attention to regulation and be careful not to be harmed by external evils; do not overuse cold or greasy medicines, and avoid taking raw and cold foods, all of which will help relieve pain and promote early recovery of the disease. Outcome Traditional Chinese medicine has good clinical efficacy in treating dysmenorrhea. Functional dysmenorrhea can often be cured with timely and effective treatment. For those caused by organic diseases, although the course of the disease is protracted and it is difficult to obtain quick results, treatment based on syndrome differentiation can also achieve better pain relief effects. |
