Urine microalbumin

Urine microalbumin

I don’t know if you all understand urine microalbumin. Many of you may not know what it is. It refers to a trace amount of albumin that appears in the urine. The so-called albumin is a common protein in the blood. Microalbumin in urine is a sign of disease. Regarding some relevant knowledge about urinary microalbumin, let us see how the following article introduces it.

We need to prevent microalbuminuria in time. As people become more affluent, many people have kidney disease, high blood pressure, and heart disease. Microalbuminuria can lead to the occurrence of these diseases. Therefore, we should do relevant preventive measures to maintain our health.

Microalbuminuria is the presence of small amounts of albumin in the urine. Albumin is a normal protein in the blood, but only very small amounts appear in the urine under physiological conditions. Microalbuminuria reflects abnormal leakage of protein from the kidneys. English abbreviation: mAlb Reference value: 0.49-2.05 mg/mmol·Cr or 4.28-18.14 mg/g·Cr

When a person has high blood pressure or diabetes or both (which often occur together), changes in the blood vessels in the kidneys change the kidneys' ability to filter protein, especially albumin, which allows protein to leak into the urine. Microalbuminuria is an early sign that diabetes affects the kidneys and is known as diabetic nephropathy.

Microalbuminuria is a sign of early kidney damage in diabetic nephropathy, hypertensive nephropathy, etc. Regardless of the disease that causes microalbuminuria, it is caused by damage to the kidney's intrinsic cells due to different initial causes, which changes the structure of the kidney's intrinsic cells. The function changes with the change of structure, and it is reflected in the urine. Clinical examinations generally include assessment of immune dysfunction, monitoring of inflammatory status, cardiovascular risk assessment, and various aspects such as rheumatoid arthritis and streptococcal infection.

For the treatment of microalbuminuria, Western medicine widely uses hormones to fight inflammation and reduce the progressive damage to kidney's intrinsic cells. Hormone therapy for microalbuminuria will produce better results in the short term. However, the damaged kidney intrinsic cells are not repaired. Therefore, when you are affected by a cold or infection, the disease will usually recur and worsen.

Microalbuminuria is also a sign of changes in the entire vascular system and can be considered a "window" into arterial disease [2] because it is an early indicator of changes in the renal and cardiovascular systems. Regular testing of urine microalbumin (U-MA) should be done once a year for normal people, and once every 3 months for patients with elevated levels. This plays a positive role in the prevention and early treatment of kidney disease.

Microalbuminuria is a hallmark of the disease. For ordinary people, they may not know enough about it and become careless. As long as you follow the doctor's instructions, I believe there will be no major problems.

Regarding some relevant knowledge about microalbuminuria, I believe that everyone has learned it through the detailed introduction in the article, and knows what microalbuminuria is. We should do a good job in preventing microalbuminuria in our daily lives and reduce the occurrence of diseases, so that our bodies can be better protected.
