What diseases might frequent oral ulcers be a sign of?

In our real life, oral ulcers are a very common oral disease, but because they are common, many people do not take them seriously. So what diseases may frequent oral ulcers be a sign of?

1. Warning signs of Behcet's disease. If one or several oral ulcers recur or even occur one after another, are extremely painful, or are accompanied by ulcers in other parts of the body, you should pay more attention to it, because such recurrent ulcers may be a warning sign of Behcet's disease.

2. Systemic lupus erythematosus. Systemic lupus erythematosus can also cause recurrent oral ulcers, which is also the harm of recurrent oral ulcers.

3. A series of oral diseases. The oral cavity is the first line of defense for the human body against the invasion of external pathogens and is the outpost of the throat. After an oral ulcer occurs, if the ulcer does not heal quickly, various bacteria and viruses may spread through the affected area to the pharynx, causing a series of oral and pharyngeal diseases such as acute pharyngitis and gingivitis.

4. Oral cancer. If you have long-term oral ulcers that do not heal, you should also be careful about the possibility of cancer. If the ulcer is more than 1 cm in diameter, with raised and uneven edges, a sunken center, and small granular bumps on the surface of the depression, and hard lumps can be felt around and at the bottom of the ulcer, it may be a sign of cancer. If the same oral ulcer does not improve for more than three weeks, you should be alert to whether it is a sign of oral cancer.

When it comes to treating oral ulcers, some people choose traditional Chinese medicine, some choose Western medicine, and some choose to take anti-inflammatory drugs and antibiotics. Experts remind that although these drugs will have a certain effect on oral ulcers in a short period of time, if taken frequently, it will not only cause weight gain, but also cause damage to various parts of the body.
