Can rabies be cured?

Due to people's widespread love for animals, puppies are also animals that can be seen everywhere. Some people are followed inadvertently while walking, which leads to their own harm. The increase in the number of dogs has reduced people's safety issues, and the number of rabies patients is also on the rise. So, can rabies be cured? This is what patients worry about, in case it causes life-threatening damage over time. Patients with different degrees of rabies should go to the hospital for relevant treatment as soon as possible.

Can rabies be cured? First, you need to go to the hospital to understand the situation of rabies so that further treatment can be carried out to avoid infection. The following is some relevant introduction to the symptoms of rabies. Rabies is an animal virus that can infect patients and cause them to experience a series of symptoms such as headache, fever, irritability, etc. Therefore, when attacked, people must not delay and go to the hospital in time for injections to prevent rabies infection.

Rabies is an animal viral disease that infects domestic and wild animals and can be transmitted to other animals or humans through contact with the saliva of an infected animal (i.e. bites, scratches, broken skin and mucous membranes). Once symptoms appear, rabies will pose a fatal threat to animals and humans.

The initial symptoms of rabies are generally non-specific and may affect the respiratory system, gastrointestinal tract and central nervous system. In the acute phase, the main symptoms are hyperactivity (rabid rabies) or paralysis (mutant rabies). Both rabid rabies and silent rabies will eventually develop into complete paralysis due to paralysis, accompanied by coma, and ultimately lead to death. Death is usually due to respiratory failure and, without intensive care, occurs within the first seven days of illness.

In the early stages of rabies, patients often have symptoms such as low fever, headache, general laziness, nausea, irritability, fear and anxiety. Then, the patient becomes extremely sensitive to stimuli such as sound, light or wind, and immediately feels a tightness in the throat when slightly stimulated. There are also abnormal sensations of numbness, itching and pain around the wounds caused by bites from sick animals, and it feels like ants are crawling on the hands, feet and limbs. After two or three days, the condition enters the excitement phase. The patient is in a highly agitated state. The prominent symptoms are extreme fear, fear of water and wind. When encountering sounds, light, wind, etc., the muscles in the throat will experience severe spasms. Although the patient is very thirsty, he dare not drink water, and he cannot swallow the water after drinking it. Even if he hears the sound of running water or others talk about water, he will experience throat spasm. In severe cases, patients may also experience painful convulsions throughout the body, leading to difficulty breathing. Most rabies patients are conscious; however, some patients become mentally ill and talk nonsense. After about two or three days of excitement, the patient becomes quiet, but then becomes paralyzed all over, his respiratory and circulatory systems fail, and he quickly falls into a coma, and dies after a dozen hours. The course of rabies usually does not exceed 6 days.

From the above introduction. Rabies is a terrible disease that can even be life-threatening. So can rabies be cured? Everyone should know that rabies is a viral disease. It should be taken seriously and not taken lightly, so as to avoid causing serious harm to the body in the later stage. Therefore, rabies must be treated early and controlled.
