Composition of Zexie Decoction

Zexie Decoction is used to treat "water in the lower part of the heart, causing dizziness and vertigo". It is mainly used to treat some symptoms of water in the lower part of the heart, which can cause cough, wheezing, palpitations, etc. The main problem is that water in the lower part of the heart invades the lungs, or is accompanied by edema of the face, heaviness of the body, shortness of breath, and weakness.

Zexie Decoction is composed of two herbs, Zexie and Atractylodes and Poria. It is used in large quantities, has specific medicinal properties, and has a stronger effect. Prescriptions with similar effects include Wuling Powder and Zhenwu Decoction, which generally use herbs such as Atractylodes and Poria, cinnamon twig, and Lu Te Ke to warm the yang, transform qi, and strengthen the spleen and stomach, and then cooperate with herbs such as Coix seed, Zexie, and Poria to promote diuresis. This prescription design is particularly suitable for the symptoms of strong electrolyte dampness, phlegm, and drinking water, which is a practical reflection of the TCM concept of "earth overcomes water" and "phlegm-inducing and warm medicine coordination".

In addition, Zexie Decoction is used to treat "this person suffers from dizziness". Here, "dizziness" mainly refers to vertigo, and "dizziness" mainly refers to the feeling of being confused, drowsy, and groggy, as if the head is wrapped in a hat. Because there is water and phlegm in the body, the water vapor goes up to the head orifices, and the phlegm blocks the meridians, which is also easy to cause the feeling of "dizziness".
