How are hemangiomas formed?

Although hemangioma is a benign tumor, it is often seen in infants and young children, so it has received much attention in medicine. Many children are born with hemangiomas, which makes its treatment more difficult. However, if infant hemangiomas are not treated, it will cause very serious harm to the baby's growth, and it also has the possibility of worsening.

Clinically, surgery is the main treatment for hemangioma, such as laser and freezing. These are the more common treatments for hemangioma. However, the choice of treatment method depends on the cause of the disease in the child, so that the correct method can be selected.

According to experts, there are many factors that lead to the formation of hemangiomas. Generally, hemangiomas occur in newborn babies. The appearance of these hemangiomas is a congenital developmental abnormality. Hemangioma is formed by the network proliferation of blood vessels during the embryonic period. It usually occurs in newborn babies. Those with larger area are easy to be found by parents at birth. Those with small red spots at the beginning are not easy to be found in children. However, within one or two months, it will grow rapidly and protrude from the skin surface, especially simple capillary hemangiomas and sea-surface hemangiomas, which grow rapidly and can easily cause panic and worry among the parents of the affected children.

There is no definite data on how hemangiomas are formed, but they are prone to occur in various parts of the human body, most commonly the chest, face and limbs. Although its pathogenesis is not very clear, studies have shown that it is related to increased estradiol. The current increase in the occurrence and growth of hemangiomas is not unrelated to environmental pollution, growth hormones, ripening agents and additives contained in vegetables, fruits and meat.

Estradiol is a natural estrogen secreted mainly by mature ovarian follicles in the body. It can promote and regulate the normal development of female sexual organs and secondary sexual characteristics. It is the most biologically active type of estrogen and is mainly secreted by the ovaries in women. It can promote and maintain the growth of female reproductive organs, breasts, and long bones and plays an important role in maintaining female sexual characteristics. It can also be produced in large quantities by the placenta in women after three months of pregnancy. During normal pregnancy, the estradiol level in the blood increases with the pregnancy cycle, and the increase is more obvious in twin and multiple pregnancies. Therefore, we often see twins suffering from hemangiomas at the same time in our outpatient work.

After understanding how hemangiomas are formed, if your baby has a hemangioma, it is recommended that parents take their baby to treatment in time and choose a suitable treatment method for the baby based on the site of the disease and the severity of the symptoms. The earlier the hemangioma is treated, the better. I hope all mothers will pay attention to this.
