Myopia treatment methods

Myopia treatment methods

With the popularization of electronic products, or the increasing pressure of work and study of modern people, myopia has become a common problem for many people. In recent years, there has even been a problem of myopia becoming younger and younger. Myopia can be said to accompany a person throughout his life and will have a great impact on his eyesight. Of course, if you find that you are myopic and know how to treat it in time, you can minimize the harm.

Ophthalmologists usually recommend that when you first discover that you are myopic, you should not rush to get glasses, but should use a more scientific method to adjust your eyes, so that the problem of myopia can be minimized. So what is the best way to prevent and treat it?

1. Avoid staring at your eyes. Pay attention to blinking frequently and completely. Frequent blinking can reduce the time your eyes are exposed to the air and prevent tears from evaporating.

2. Do not use the air conditioner for too long, avoid air flow blowing over the seats, and place tea near the seats to increase the surrounding humidity.

3. Eat more fruits, especially citrus fruits, and also eat more green vegetables, grains, fish and eggs. Drinking plenty of water can also help relieve dry eyes.

4. Maintain good living habits, get enough sleep and don’t stay up late.

5. Avoid operating the computer continuously for long periods of time. Take breaks in between. Usually, operate for 1 hour continuously and then take a 5-10 minute break. When resting, you can look into the distance or do eye exercises.

6. Maintain a good working posture. Maintain the most appropriate posture, with your eyes looking level or slightly downward at the screen. This will relax the neck muscles and minimize the area of the eyeballs exposed to the air.

Myopia 7. Adjust the distance and position of the fluorescent screen. The recommended distance is 50-70 cm, and the screen should be slightly below eye level by 10-20 cm, with a downward viewing angle of 15-20 degrees. Because the angle and distance can reduce the need for refraction and reduce the chance of eye fatigue.

If you have less tear secretion and your eyes are easily dry, it is not suitable for you to use contact lenses in front of the computer. You should wear frame glasses. People who wear contact lenses in front of a computer should also use those with high oxygen permeability.

For people over 40, it is best to use bifocal lenses, or wear glasses with lower degrees when typing.

If your eyes become red, feel burned or have a foreign body sensation, your eyelids become heavy, your vision becomes blurred, or you even experience eye pain or headaches, and there is no significant improvement after rest, then you need to go to the hospital.

Prevention and treatment of pseudomyopia

(1) Use ciliary muscle paralytics (atropine, tropicamide eye drops, Bausch and Lomb eye drops, etc.) to dilate the pupil, once before going to bed.

(2): Do eye exercises 3 to 4 times a day.

(3): After studying or working for 1 to 2 hours, look out at the natural scenery and rest for 10 to 15 minutes to relax the ciliary muscles.

(4): Use traditional Chinese medicine methods such as acupuncture, electroacupuncture, qigong or thermal massage to increase the excitability of the visual nerve center; acupuncture recommends needling the "Jingming" and "Qiuhou" points.

(5): When reading and writing, keep a distance of more than 30 cm from the surface of the book and maintain the correct posture; do not tilt your head when reading, and the lighting should be suitable for the eyes; combine work and rest, and pay attention to physical exercise.

When myopia becomes a common problem among modern people, and when using our eyes every day becomes our habit, it is actually very important for us to develop the habit of caring for our eyes on a daily basis. Only by developing the habit of loving and protecting our eyes can we make our eyes brighter.
