Everyone wants good health, but with age, many diseases inevitably affect the elderly. Among them, Parkinson's syndrome is a common neurological disease among the elderly. Since there are many reasons for its occurrence, we should pay more attention to it in our daily life, whether it is regular exercise or daily diet. Parkinson's syndrome is a diagnostic concept commonly used by clinical neurologists. It refers specifically to a group of clinical syndromes characterized by bradykinesia caused by various reasons (cerebrovascular disease, cerebral arteriosclerosis, infection, poisoning, trauma, drugs and genetic degeneration, etc.). The main manifestations are tremor, muscle rigidity, bradykinesia and instability. Clinical manifestations The characteristic manifestations of Parkinson's disease are resting tremor, muscle rigidity, gait and posture disturbances, and bradykinesia. Bradykinesia includes slow starting, freezing, small steps, panic gait, decreased spontaneous movements, small handwriting, difficulty sitting and standing, dysphonia, dysarthria and dysphagia. Generally, postural instability is a late-onset symptom. In the middle and late stages of the disease, non-motor symptoms of Parkinson's disease such as depression, constipation, sleep disorders, cognitive impairment, etc. may seriously affect the patient's quality of life. Secondary Parkinson's syndrome is a Parkinson's disease-like manifestation caused by various known causes, including vascular disease, drugs, infection, poisoning, trauma, etc. Drug-induced Parkinson's syndrome is the most common cause of secondary Parkinson's syndrome, which is mostly caused by taking dopamine-depleting agents or antipsychotics with dopamine receptor antagonism or calcium ion antagonists. It is more common in the elderly, mostly women, and often occurs within 3 months after taking the medicine. Symptoms in most patients are reversible and disappear after stopping the relevant drugs for weeks or months. It manifests as extrapyramidal symptoms such as resting tremor, muscle rigidity, bradykinesia, reduced movement, and postural instability after taking related drugs. Its characteristics are rapid onset and rapid progression. Tremor is mild or absent, but autonomic nervous system symptoms such as sweating are more obvious. Akathisia and involuntary movements of the mouth, face, neck and limbs may also occur. |
