What is the cause of renal cysts

What is the cause of renal cysts

If we want to solve the cyst quickly and effectively, we should pay attention to understanding its cause. For example, congenital maldevelopment may cause some diseases, including kidney cysts. It may also be caused by gene mutation or high blood pressure problems.

1. Congenital maldevelopment:

Congenital maldevelopment can cause a variety of diseases. As for cystic kidney disease, what are the causes of renal cysts? It can mainly cause medullary sponge kidney, dysplastic polycystic kidney disease, etc. The genes of congenital maldevelopment are generally not abnormal, so it is different from genetic inheritance or gene mutation.

2. Gene mutation:

The cause of renal cysts is mostly inherited through parental genes, which is divided into autosomal dominant inheritance and autosomal recessive inheritance. However, some polycystic kidney patients do not inherit the disease from their parents, nor do they have congenital dysplastic polycystic kidney disease, but rather a gene mutation during embryo formation. During the embryonic formation process, due to the influence of various factors, the gene mutates and forms polycystic kidney disease. Although this situation is rare, it can still occur. Therefore, some polycystic kidney patients may not have a parental genetic history.

3. High blood pressure can cause cysts to grow larger:

The increase in blood pressure is believed to be caused by the cyst compressing the renal parenchyma, activating the renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system, causing systemic vascular contraction and subsequently causing refractory hypertension, causing the glomeruli to be in a state of high perfusion, high pressure, and high filtration, which increases the pressure difference between the inside and outside of the cyst, making it more conducive to fluid accumulation and leading to cyst enlargement. Common renal cysts include simple renal cysts, parapelvic cysts and polycystic kidney disease.

4. Infection factors:

Any infection in any part of the body will enter the kidneys through the blood, creating environmental conditions that are conducive to changes in cyst genes, thereby enhancing the activity of the cyst's internal factors, which can promote the formation and growth of the cyst. In addition, infection will also affect the cyst. If the cyst is infected, in addition to aggravating the clinical symptoms, it will also cause the cyst to grow further and aggravate kidney damage. The causes of renal cysts include upper respiratory tract infection, urinary tract infection, gastrointestinal tract infection, skin infection, trauma infection, instrument infection, etc. That is, whether it is bacterial infection or viral infection, it can have a great impact on the cyst.
