People with allergic constitutions are extremely prone to allergies. Changes in temperature, changes in living environment, or eating susceptible foods may cause allergies in the body. Once you have an allergy, you may have it again after coming into contact with the allergen. If the chance of contact increases, your body will become more and more allergic. Therefore, if you are always suffering from allergies, you must eliminate contact with allergens and reduce the frequency of allergies. 1. What is the reason for constant allergies? A small number of people with allergic constitutions will have allergic reactions after contact with certain substances (antigens) such as pollen, paint, parasites, shrimp, crab, animal fur, dust mites, and drugs such as penicillins and sulfonamides. , causing tissue damage or physiological dysfunction, is called an allergic reaction, also known as an allergic reaction. Allergic reactions can be divided into four types. The most common one is type I allergic reaction. The process of its occurrence is as follows: people with allergic constitution, after the first contact with the above-mentioned antigenic substances, produce an antibody in the body. This antibody is adsorbed on the surface of mast cells, and the mast cells are thereby sensitized. When they come into contact with those antigenic substances again, those substances will combine with the sensitized mast cells, causing the cells to release histamine, slow-reacting allergic substances, bradykinin and 5-hydroxytryptamine-like biologically active substances. This type of active substance can cause capillary dilation and increased permeability, smooth muscle spasm, and increased glandular secretion, which manifests in patients as a series of allergic reaction symptoms such as skin redness, itching, urticaria, runny nose, sneezing, asthma, difficulty breathing, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, diarrhea, etc. In severe cases, anaphylactic shock may occur. 2. Allergic reactions Severe allergic reactions can result in shock and potentially fatal respiratory distress. For people with allergies, allergic symptoms may occur after being exposed to the allergen for a few seconds or a few hours. Almost any substance, including insect venom, pollen, lotions, certain foods, and medications, can cause an allergy. In some people, the cause of their allergic reactions is unknown. Patients with severe allergic reactions may develop symptoms such as hives, redness and swelling of the eyes and lips, and swelling inside the throat. Severe cases may lead to difficulty breathing or even shock. Allergies may also be accompanied by adverse reactions such as dizziness, confusion, abdominal cramps, nausea, vomiting or diarrhea. 3. How to give first aid for allergies 1. Dial 120 or the local medical emergency number. 2. Search the patient for desensitization drugs that they carry with them, such as an epinephrine auto-injector, which is usually used by pressing it into the patient's leg and holding it for a few seconds, then massaging the injection site for ten seconds to allow the drug to be fully absorbed. If your doctor prescribes an epinephrine auto-injector for you, read the instructions carefully with your family before an allergic reaction occurs. After the patient has been given an injection of epinephrine, if he is not choking, he should be given a desensitization medication. Place the patient in a supine position with his back and feet elevated above his head 3. Loosen the patient's tight clothing and cover him with a blanket. Don't let him drink anything. 4. If the patient has symptoms such as vomiting or vomiting blood, he should be placed face down to prevent suffocation. 5. If the patient does not have any signs of physiological circulation, such as breathing, coughing, heartbeat, etc., cardiopulmonary resuscitation should be started (cardiopulmonary resuscitation is a first aid technique on the spot, including artificial respiration, chest compression, etc.) |
