Early stage of female genital herpes

Early stage of female genital herpes

Female genital herpes is also relatively common. It is a sexually transmitted disease with a relatively high incidence rate in China. Many people are particularly afraid when they hear about this disease because once infected, they may carry the virus for life. It is often transmitted through sexual intercourse or promiscuous sex. For women, it often appears on the labia majora and labia minora, clitoris, and even the cervix, causing pain, erosion and bleeding.

Early stage of female genital herpes

1. Once a woman is infected with genital herpes, she may become a lifelong carrier of the virus. Herpes is transmitted through contact with the mucous membranes or saliva of an infected person, usually through sexual intercourse. 2. Female genital herpes is often seen in the labia majora and minora, clitoris, mons pubis, cervix, etc., and sometimes also in the urethral opening. The symptoms of genital herpes in women are often accompanied by general discomfort, low fever, headache and other systemic symptoms, and local swollen lymph nodes. Moreover, this disease often recurs. Recurrent genital herpes has milder symptoms and less damage than primary cases, and often has no systemic symptoms.

3. In the first week of the onset of genital herpes in women, there will be symptoms similar to influenza, such as fever, headache or body pain. Some women suffer from genital herpes symptoms frequently, and some may have an attack once a month. 4. Many women have no symptoms when suffering from genital herpes, or only feel slight discomfort in the genital area. Some women develop genital herpes, which lasts about 4 to 5 days on average. They first feel a burning sensation in the affected area of the vulva, followed by the development of groups of papules, which can be one cluster or multiple clusters, and then form blisters. Herpes or ulcers may appear around the vulva and may even extend into the vulva. These sores are often painful and itchy and are often accompanied by redness and swelling of the genital area (vulva).

5. Patients infected with herpes may develop ulcers around the genitals or mouth, but in most cases there are no symptoms. After infection, it takes 2-10 days for the disease to develop, and the ulcer usually lasts for several years. In the early stages of female genital herpes, ulcers last for as little as a week, but usually last for 2-3 weeks. When the old ulcers begin to heal, new ulcers will appear again. The groin lymph nodes will also become painful and swollen. After a few days, these blisters will develop into pustules. When the pustules rupture, erosions or shallow ulcers will form. The patient will feel pain at this time. Finally, the diseased area will form a scab and heal itself. The course of genital herpes in women is about two to three weeks. 6. Symptoms of genital herpes in women include low fever, chills, abdominal pain, nausea, swollen inguinal lymph nodes, and complications of cervicitis and metritis. In the later stages of the viral infection that affects the urethra and bladder mucosa, symptoms such as difficulty urinating, frequent urination, and painful urination may occur, and in severe cases, urinary retention may occur. In addition, symptoms of genital herpes in women may also occur simultaneously with other symptoms, such as fever, general malaise, headache, stiff neck, meningitis and sacral nervous system dysfunction. 7. If genital herpes affects the lips, it will cause herpes simplex on the lips. If a pregnant woman is infected with the herpes virus, it will be transmitted to the fetus through the placenta, causing microcephaly, congenital heart disease, limb defects, microphthalmia and other diseases in the offspring. If the infection is transmitted to the newborn during delivery, the fetus will often develop encephalitis. Therefore, the harm caused by sexually transmitted diseases to women is much more serious than that to men.
