Our country's traditional Chinese medicine technology is profound and extensive. For example, acupuncture is a very special treatment method. We use needles, usually filiform needles, to stimulate the acupuncture points of the human body to treat diseases. We are not yet fully clear about some of the therapeutic principles of acupuncture, so many people doubt whether acupuncture is effective. In fact, as long as it is tried and found to be effective, it's fine. Can acupuncture cure cervical spondylosis? As long as we try it, we will know the result. In fact, acupuncture can be used to treat cervical spondylosis. How should we use acupuncture to treat cervical spondylosis in a timely manner? Acupuncture treatment of cervical spondylosis Cervical spondylosis is common in middle-aged and elderly people, but it has a tendency to become younger. It is a symptom caused by the degenerative changes of the human body, namely the natural aging of the human body, bone hyperplasia of the cervical spine, herniation and bulging of the cervical disc, or changes in the normal physiological curvature of the cervical spine that stimulate the body. Traditional Chinese medicine believes that it falls into the category of "bone arthritis" due to liver and kidney yang deficiency, invasion of wind, cold and dampness, or blood stasis blocking the collaterals. Cervical spondylosis can be divided into 5 types: 1. Cervical type, also known as stiff neck type: When the symptoms occur, the neck hurts and involves the back, making it impossible to pitch, stretch or rotate. There may be relief for a period of time. 2. Radiculopathy type, also known as arthritis type: cervical spondylosis characterized by compression of the cervical nerve roots. Persistent dull pain or soreness in the neck, shoulders, and back, sometimes with intermittent severe pain; the pain radiates to one or both forearms, the hand grip strength weakens, objects held in the hand suddenly fall, and the fingers feel numb and painful. This type is the most common. 3. Vertebral artery type, also known as vertigo type: cervical spine instability, often related to rotation of the head and neck. Stimulation or compression of the carotid artery causes it to twist, narrow, or occlude, leading to insufficient blood supply to the head and symptoms such as dizziness, nausea, vomiting, numbness of the limbs, or even sudden collapse despite being conscious. 4. Spinal cord type common symptoms include dizziness, unilateral or bilateral lower limb nerve dysfunction, a "walking on cotton" feeling, clumsy movements, even inability to stand and walk, and urinary and bowel disorders. 5. Sympathetic type: Symptoms are complex, most of which include mild neck and shoulder pain, dizziness, head swelling, headache, migraine, occipital pain, blurred vision, dry eyes, tearing, swelling and pain in the eye sockets, sweating on one side of the face or head, neck, hands, and feet, numbness, swelling, coldness, and pain in the hands, high blood pressure, dizziness, drooping eyelids, tearing, nasal congestion, bradycardia, low blood pressure, increased gastric motility or belching. - - Acupuncture treatment of cervical spondylosis is a method with few side effects, good efficacy and low cost, and is worthy of promotion. Acupuncture combined with electroacupuncture, moxibustion and other methods can eliminate edema, reduce inflammation and pain, relieve muscle spasms, and reduce stimulation and compression on nerves. Therefore, it can sometimes have an immediate effect in improving symptoms such as pain and numbness. Acupuncture can improve blood flow velocity, increase blood volume, reduce the mechanical pressure of cervical degeneration on blood vessels, reduce sympathetic nerve excitement, increase the inner diameter of the vertebral artery, thereby improving ischemia of the brainstem reticular structure, vestibular nerve nucleus and inner ear, and has a more obvious effect in improving free radical metabolic disorders. Moreover, this acupuncture effect is persistent and cumulative, and is related to the course of treatment. If you experience symptoms such as dizziness, neck, shoulder, arm pain, or numbness, go to the acupuncture department promptly to avoid the disease becoming protracted and difficult to heal. Especially for cervical vertigo, most patients only consider internal medicine diseases and ignore the diagnosis of cervical spondylosis, which delays the treatment of the disease. After being cured by acupuncture, you still need to pay attention to the health of your cervical spine to avoid recurrence of the disease. Above we introduced a very magical therapy in traditional Chinese medicine, which is acupuncture. You may not be familiar with the treatment principles of acupuncture, but you should know that acupuncture is very effective in treating many diseases. For example, we use acupuncture to treat cervical spondylosis and can achieve very good therapeutic results. |
