Symptoms of a stroke

Symptoms of a stroke

"Stroke" is just two simple words, but it is an unusual disease. Strokes of different degrees bring great distress and pain to people's bodies and lives. Severe cases may cause hemiplegia, making the patient unable to take care of themselves. This is a huge blow to an individual or a family. Stroke affects a wide range of people, so everyone should pay more attention.

Stroke is a very serious neurological disease that causes poor blood circulation and flow in the brain, leading to neurological disorders, etc. Stroke is not a minor illness, but a typical disease that people must pay attention to. We must understand some of the symptoms of stroke in detail and prevent it at all times in our lives, so that we can live a healthier life.

1. Positioning diagnosis

According to the patient's symptoms and signs, analyze the location of the lesion. Is it diffuse or localized? Is it central or peripheral? Then point out the specific location of the lesion. Lesions in different parts of the cerebral hemisphere, cerebellum, and brainstem will manifest differently. Lesions in the cerebral hemispheres manifest contralateral facial paralysis, tongue paralysis, hemiplegia of the limbs, and hemianopsia; cerebellar lesions mainly manifest severe vertigo, unsteady standing, nystagmus, etc.; the clinical manifestations of brainstem lesions are more complicated, mainly crossed paralysis, crooked mouth and tongue on the same side of the lesion, hemiplegia of the contralateral limbs, and decreased sensation. CT examination can determine the specific location of the lesion.

2. Qualitative diagnosis

Analyze the nature of the disease based on the course of onset, characteristics of the disease and location of the lesion, whether it is hemorrhagic or ischemic cerebrovascular disease. The treatments for the two are different and must be clearly distinguished.

3. Etiology diagnosis

From the whole process of the disease, combined with positioning and qualitative analysis, we can find out the specific cause of the disease. Cerebrovascular disease is mainly caused by hypertension and cerebral arteriosclerosis, but studies in recent years have found that changes in certain components in the blood and hypercoagulable state often lead to cerebral infarction, cerebral aneurysm, cerebral vascular malformation, arteritis, etc., which also lead to cerebral hemorrhage. These must be made clear.

We have introduced many symptoms of stroke above. I hope you understand them clearly. When you find yourself having some of the above symptoms, you must go to the hospital in time for some scientific diagnosis. Through step-by-step diagnosis throughout your life, you can live more at ease, and when the disease is discovered, you can get the most timely treatment.
