What to do if you get poisoned by eating beans

In life, cases of poisoning after eating beans are not uncommon. In fact, many times it is because the beans are not cooked thoroughly, which causes bean poisoning. In serious cases, it will bring great harm to our health. So do you know how to treat and solve the problem scientifically and effectively if you are poisoned after eating dumplings? Take a look at the introduction below.

No matter what kind of problems arise, we cannot ignore them easily, because if there are many of them, it will have an adverse effect on physical health. Therefore, I hope everyone can pay more attention to these diet and health issues, so that they can effectively help themselves prevent poisoning.

Treatment of poisoning

If bean poisoning occurs, you should go to the hospital for diagnosis and treatment as soon as possible. In the early stage of poisoning, you can use warm water to wash out the stomach contents until the gastric lavage fluid is clear water-like; secondly, it is estimated that the food eaten is still in the intestine, and salt laxatives can be used, such as 30-60ml of 25% sodium sulfate or 40-50ml of 50% magnesium sulfate orally, to purge. If the patient has poor breathing, do not use magnesium sulfate to avoid respiratory depression; you can also use 300-500ml of warm saline for colon irrigation. If the patient experiences abdominal pain, atropine 0.5 mg can be injected subcutaneously or scopolamine tablets can be taken orally to relieve the pain. Most patients should be given intravenous infusion in the hospital. They can be given 500ml of 0.85% sodium chloride solution (i.e. normal saline) plus 1g of potassium chloride by intravenous drip, or 500ml of 5% glucose solution plus 2.5g of vitamin C by intravenous drip, or Ringer's solution (compound sodium chloride solution).

If the patient also has a fever, infection may be considered and antibiotics such as levofloxacin and metronidazole may be added by intravenous drip. If the patient's condition is serious, symptomatic treatment should also be paid attention to, such as oxygen inhalation, administration of pressor drugs, maintaining respiratory and circulatory functions, and preventing dehydration and shock. Generally, patients will get better and recover quickly after 1 to 3 days of the above treatment.

The main way to prevent poisoning is to make sure that the beans are cooked (thoroughly) or fried (thoroughly) before eating; if the beans are not cooked (fried) thoroughly, do not eat them, this can prevent the occurrence of bean poisoning.

The above is an introduction to poisoning after eating dumplings. I hope that after introducing these solutions, everyone can pay more attention to this problem and use healthier and more scientific methods to help themselves solve it, so as to better reduce the harm caused by poisoning to our body.
