What is prostate calcification?

Many men have prostate diseases. There are many types of prostate diseases. Inflammation and calcification are relatively common. Prostate calcification mainly refers to the appearance of stones in the prostate, which causes repeated attacks of prostatitis. We need to pay attention to it and treat the disease well. Many people do not know about prostate calcification. Let's take a look at what is prostate calcification?

Prostate calcification has many symptoms when it occurs. Patients will experience urgency and pain when urinating. Severe patients may even develop diseases such as hydronephrosis and prostate stones. This requires our attention and active treatment when the disease is discovered.

What is prostate calcification? Prostate calcification is generally caused by chronic inflammatory infection and is prone to cause recurrent prostate inflammatory infection. The prostatic fluid secreted by the prostate is a component of semen and has a direct impact on fertility. It is usually accompanied by pain in the lower abdomen, perineum, hips, etc. If not treated in time, it may cause various complications such as: seminal vesiculitis, epididymitis, orchitis, impotence, premature ejaculation, male infertility, etc. Prostate calcification is caused by previous prostatitis, which leaves calcification spots after healing. Prostate calcification indicates that there was inflammation in the past but it is now quiescent. Bacteria can breed on prostate calcification (fibrosis) and stones, so this is another cause of recurrent prostatitis and cannot be ignored. Prostate calcification and fibrosis are scars left by prostate inflammation and are precursors to prostate stones.

The simplest method is to examine the prostate through digital rectal examination, which can check the size, shape, and tenderness of the prostate, thereby making a preliminary diagnosis and screening for prostate disease. At the same time, prostate massage can be performed to check the properties and composition changes of prostatic fluid. B-ultrasound is a commonly used method for examining the prostate. There are methods such as transrectal probing and transpubic supraabdominal probing, which can make accurate measurements of the prostate with an error of no more than 5%. It has important diagnostic significance for various prostate diseases and has the advantages of being simple, non-invasive, non-destructive and rapid. X-ray examination is of great value in the diagnosis of prostate diseases. For example, plain films can detect whether the prostate has calcification or stones. Contrast imaging can help detect prostate enlargement or prostate cancer. CT examination is more important for the differential diagnosis of prostate diseases.

The above content is an introduction to what prostate calcification is. I hope it can be of some help to you. In our daily life, we must pay attention to the treatment of patients, not overwork, pay attention to keeping the diet light, eat less meat, and also eat nuts appropriately to better help patients recover their health.
