The course of treatment is 4 months to 1 year. However, some patients may still relapse after stopping medication.

4. Recurrent genital herpes with HIV infection:

Acyclovir 200 mg, 5 times a day, or 400 mg/time, 3 times a day; valacyclovir 1 g/time, 2 times a day; famciclovir 500 mg/time, 2 times a day, until all skin and mucosal lesions are healed. For chronic HIV infection patients, oral acyclovir 400-800 mg, 2-3 times a day; or valacyclovir 500 mg, 2 times a day; or famciclovir 500 mg/time, 2 times a day.
