Many people are not very clear about the care of deep vein thrombosis. There are many care methods for this type of patients, but there are some differences in care methods depending on the patient's condition, and this also needs attention.

Deep vein thrombosis care :

1 In the acute phase, patients are advised to rest in bed and elevate the affected limb by 15° to 30° to facilitate venous return in the lower limbs and reduce edema.

2. Whenever possible, administer the drug through the superficial vein distal to the affected limb so that the drug can directly reach the site of the thrombus and increase the local drug concentration (generally, the affected limb is only used as a route for administering thrombolytic drugs, and no other drugs are administered).

3. It is strictly forbidden to massage or apply pressure on the affected limb, keep the bowels open, and avoid straining during bowel movements, so as to prevent a sudden increase in abdominal pressure that may cause blood clots to fall off.

4 Avoid collision with the affected limb and do not make excessive movements when turning over.

5. Give a high-vitamin, high-protein, low-fat diet, and avoid spicy, sweet and fatty foods to avoid increasing blood viscosity and aggravating the condition.

6. Measure the thigh circumference during each shift and closely observe changes in the circumference, skin color, and temperature of the affected limb.

7. Prevent complications: Strengthen oral skin care, rinse your mouth more often, drink more water, use suppositories to relieve constipation for those with dry stools, turn over regularly, change body position, and prevent bedsores.

The above is a detailed introduction to the care of deep vein thrombosis. It is a good choice to care for patients with deep vein thrombosis according to the above methods. However, for some people who are not familiar with it, they must learn first, so that they can do it skillfully and without any impact on the patient's body.
