When to get rabies vaccine

When to get rabies vaccine

Some of your friends may like to keep small pets at home, such as cats, dogs and pigeons. For small pets such as cats and dogs, if you are bitten by them in your life, it is best to go to the hospital for a check-up to avoid diseases such as rabies. So when you raise a puppy at home, it is best to give the puppy some rabies vaccine, so that the puppy or kitten can stay away from the harm of the disease.

If we are bitten by some kittens or puppies in our daily life, we should go to the hospital for examination immediately and get some rabies vaccines to prevent rabies. We should also observe whether our puppies and kittens will develop rabies within ten days.

It is best to get a rabies vaccination first, but please read the following paragraph patiently and you will know that you should be healthy and do not need to worry about this problem. The pathogenesis of rabies virus disease is that the virus invades the brain cells of animals and causes rabies attacks. At this time, the animals generally show very obvious abnormalities and are easy to identify. At this time, the animal's saliva is poisonous (contains viruses) and is contagious. If you are bitten by such an animal, you must get rabies vaccine.

If you are bitten by a warm-blooded animal such as a dog (cat) that has symptoms of disease or behaves abnormally compared to a healthy cat (dog), you should get a rabies vaccination as soon as possible after being bitten, and observe the cat (dog) that bit you. If the cat or dog does not develop rabies within 10 days, you can stop the rabies vaccination and it can be determined that you have not been infected with rabies at all.

Rabies vaccination can be delayed. (If you have been bitten and it has been 6 years, you can rest assured. If it is an old wound within 6 years, you can get rabies vaccine again if you are still worried. It is equivalent to one exposure (first bite). Dogs (cats) are only infected 1-2 days before and 3 days after the onset of rabies. It is possible to transmit rabies virus to humans through saliva. At this time, you need to get rabies vaccine for prevention.

You should now know in detail how to treat rabies in your life, especially for those friends who like to raise cats and puppies at home. When you keep kittens and puppies at home, you should give them some rabies vaccines and prevent them from biting us, so as to stay away from rabies.
