8 health tips from the ancients: Beat your back often to boost your yang energy

Health preservation is a topic that never gets hot. So how do we keep healthy in winter? With the improvement of economic level, many people now pay more and more attention to health preservation, but often cannot find obvious health preservation methods. In fact, modern people may wish to refer to the health-preserving methods of the ancients and take care of their health in light of their own actual conditions.

Back massage is good for boosting Yang Qi

There are abundant acupoints for internal organs on the back of the human body. Beating the back can stimulate the acupoints of the skin and subcutaneous tissue of the back. Through the conduction of the meridians, it can enhance the function of the meridian system, improve the immune function, and enhance the disease resistance. Beating the back can also relax the muscles, promote blood circulation, and accelerate the metabolism of the back skin. The technique of back massage should be even, the force should be flexible, and it should be light and tapping, 60-100 times per minute, 1-2 times a day. However, patients with severe heart disease should be cautious when doing back massage.

Frequently comb your mind

Sun Simiao said: "Combing your hair can make your body happy, your complexion radiant, your ears and eyes sharp, make you eat deliciously, strengthen your strength, and get rid of all diseases." Spread the five fingers of both hands and put them into your hair, rubbing your head from the forehead along the top of the head to the back of the head, and comb your hair ten to a hundred times each time. Use gentle movements or use a wooden comb to comb your hair 3-5 times a day, 60-100 times each time, to dredge the meridians in the head. Combing your hair frequently can stimulate the meridians in the head, leading qi and blood downward, helping to relieve high blood pressure, cerebral arteriosclerosis, etc. It can also lead qi and blood upward and treat insufficient blood supply to the brain.

The face should be rubbed more to balance the qi and blood

Many meridian systems originate from the head and face, and rubbing the face can dredge the meridians. Every morning, rub your hands together to warm them up, and use your middle finger to move along both sides of the nose from bottom to top. Move other fingers to rub your forehead and spread them to both sides, then move down through the cheeks, just like washing your face, and rub more than 10 times. This can make your face rosy, reduce wrinkles, prevent facial nerve paralysis, eliminate fatigue, boost your spirits, and help improve peripheral blood circulation in the face, especially the ears.

Keep your eyes active to prevent blurry vision

The movement of the eyeballs is called "eye movement" in traditional Chinese medicine. Close your eyes and roll your eyeballs from left to right 6 to 10 times, and then from right to left 6 to 10 times. Move your eyeballs slowly, then close your eyes for a moment, and then open them. The speed of eye movement should be uniform, and 2-4 beats can be made in each direction of movement. This method is very suitable for middle-aged and elderly people with blurred vision and eye diseases. Doing this method often can help them see clearly.

Massage the abdomen frequently for easy digestion

The abdomen is where the stomach, intestines and other internal organs are located. Regular abdominal massage is beneficial to digestion. Lie on your back on the bed with your legs straight and toes pointing upwards. Rub your hands together to warm them up, and then use the palms of your hands to massage your abdomen with the navel as the center, in a clockwise direction following the outlines of small, medium and large circles, 12 times each. This can strengthen the spleen and stomach and aid digestion. Long-term practice is effective for kidney deficiency, fatigue and constipation.

Always be careful about hemorrhoids in the anus

The anus refers to the anus. Consciously lifting the anus at ordinary times can prevent diseases such as hemorrhoids and anal fissures. You can stand or lie in bed. When inhaling, use a little force to lift and tighten the anus and perineum. Pause for a moment, then relax and exhale. Repeat 5-7 times.

Limbs are often shaken to strengthen muscles and bones

Make fists with both hands and rotate your arms forward together with your shoulders, first from the inside to the outside and downward, then from the outside to the inside and upward, then switch arms and rotate in the same way, 20 times each; sit upright, lift your left foot and slowly straighten it forward with your toes pointing up, when it is almost straightened, push your heel forward and downward with force, do 5 times, then switch to the right foot. This method can stretch the joints of the limbs and is beneficial for preventing periarthritis of the shoulder and improving physical functions for middle-aged and elderly people.

Rub the soles of your feet frequently to purify your mind

After soaking your feet, hold your right toes with your right hand, and rub the Yongquan point and the nearby sole of your right foot with your left hand until the sole of your foot becomes warm. Then rotate your toes slightly, then release your feet, lift your toes up and back as far as possible, then retract your toes, and repeat this 10 times. After your right foot touches the ground, switch to your left foot. Regular massage of the Yongquan acupoint can reduce internal heat, relieve dizziness, headache, vertigo, sore throat, and also relieve insomnia and foot atrophy and numbness.
