What are the effects and methods of consumption of hemp seed tea?

Hemp seed is a traditional Chinese medicine that has the effect of treating diseases and maintaining health. Usually, drinking hemp seed to make tea can play a very good role in cardiovascular health. It can also promote gastrointestinal mucosal stimulation, leading to increased secretion, which can achieve a good laxative effect. It also has a good effect of clearing cholesterol from the body's blood. There are many ways to eat hemp seed. It can be used to make tea, porridge, or medicinal wine to drink.

1. Effects on the cardiovascular system

The alcohol in hemp seed tincture was removed and made into an emulsion. 2 g/kg was given intraduodenally to anesthetized cats. After half an hour, the blood pressure began to slowly drop. After 2 hours, it dropped to about half of the original level. There was no significant change in heart rate and respiration. When normal rats were gavaged with 2 and 10 g/kg, their blood pressure was significantly reduced. Hypertensive patients can also lower their blood pressure by taking it for 5-6 weeks without any adverse reactions. Domestic hemp seed varieties are the same as those produced in India, and their physiological effects are similar.

2. Diarrhea

Hemp seed can stimulate the intestinal mucosa, increase secretion, accelerate peristalsis, and reduce water absorption by the large intestine, thus having a laxative effect. Gavage of 4 and 8g/kg Ma Ren Capsule and 4g/kg Ma Ren Pills and observation for 12 hours showed that both had a laxative effect on mice, with the former having a stronger effect; injection of 0.1ml each of Ma Ren Capsule (1:1, 1:0.5) and Ma Ren Pills (1:1) into the small intestine of toads and observation for 90 minutes showed that both had the effect of increasing intestinal contents.

3. Effect on serum cholesterol

The experiment involved 20 adult rats weighing 190-240g, half male and half female, with 10 rats in each group, half male and half female. They were randomly divided into a control group and an experimental group based on their body weight and serum cholesterol concentration. The control group was fed a high-fat diet, while the experimental group was fed a high-fat diet with 10% dried hemp seed sample added. The results showed that hemp seed had a significant effect in preventing the increase of serum cholesterol in rats. During the experimental period, the serum cholesterol level was relatively stable for 4 weeks, and was significantly lower than that of the control group in the 3rd and 4th weeks (P<0.05).
