What is pityriasis simplex?

What exactly is pityriasis simplex? How did it come about? I think this question bothers everyone who suffers from this disease. Some people will choose to go to the hospital to understand and cure the disease. In fact, this is the wisest choice. It is best to deal with the disease as soon as it is discovered. The sooner the treatment, the faster the recovery. In fact, pityriasis simplex is also called white pityriasis, commonly known as "peach blossom ringworm" among the people.

May be associated with infection with Pityrosporum ovale. Diagnostic points: More common in preschool children. It often occurs on the face, but can also occur on the trunk and limbs. The skin lesions are one or several white or light red patches with a small amount of bran-like scales. After the lesions subside, pale white hypopigmented spots remain. No subjective symptoms. Oval-shaped fungi can sometimes be found in microscopic examination of scales.

Pityriasis alba is a very common phenomenon in preschool and adolescence, especially in children with dry or dark skin. Basically, pityriasis alba is a mild dermatitis, a constitutional eczematous dermatitis. Clinically, the incidence rate is higher in people with allergic constitutions, but it is not limited to people with allergic constitutions. As for the cause, it is generally speculated that it may be related to external factors such as dry skin and sun exposure. The most common age is from three years old before school to adolescence, and it can also be seen in adults. The male-female ratio is equal.

It is currently considered to be a nonspecific dermatitis. In children, the sebaceous glands have not yet developed and the skin surface lacks sebum. Excessive washing, especially washing with highly alkaline soaps, is one of the causes of pityriasis alba. In addition, sun exposure and dry skin may promote the occurrence of this disease. The skin lesions are one or several round or oval, coin-sized patches, which are lighter in color than the surrounding normal skin, pale in color, dry on the surface, with a small amount of fine grayish white scales, and mild or absent basal inflammation. The damage can gradually expand, and adjacent ones can merge with each other. Conscious slight itching or no subjective symptoms. The lesions often occur on the face, especially the cheeks and forehead, but can also be seen on the neck, trunk and limbs. The lesions may regress spontaneously, leaving mild hypopigmentation. This disease is more common in children or adolescents, but can also be seen in adults. It occurs more frequently in spring, but can also be seen in early summer and winter.

It can be seen that pityriasis simplex is quite scary. What should we do in the face of such a terrible disease? What other aspects can be prevented? In fact, we should pay more attention to healthy eating in our daily life. For example, vegetables and fruits should be washed repeatedly before eating. At the same time, reducing the inhalation of harmful gases and exercising more can also be a hassle.
