Symptoms: paroxysmal, short-term, convulsive, severe pain in the face, burning cheeks, even pain like a knife cutting, red face and eyes, dry mouth and bad breath, thirst and desire to drink, constipation and red urine, red tongue with yellow and dry coating, and stringy or stringy and rapid pulse.

5. Liver and gallbladder heat

Symptoms: paroxysmal, short-term, twitching pain in the face, burning cheeks, irritability, dizziness, tinnitus, flushed face and eyes, insomnia, dry mouth, bitter taste in the mouth, constipation, dark urine, red tongue with yellow coating, and stringy or rapid pulse.

6. Blood stasis

Symptoms: Paroxysmal, short-term severe pain in the face, pain like being stabbed by an awl or cut by a knife, pain that is resistant to pressure, or prolonged facial pain that does not heal, purple tongue, or petechiae or ecchymosis on the tongue, or purple and varicose sublingual veins.
