Don't scare me, I'm timid! People still do this after they die

Death can destroy everything, but some of the most basic body functions can still fight overtime with death. Sometimes it's a few minutes, sometimes it's a few hours, and some may even extend to several days or weeks. You would never imagine that it would take so long for a person to die completely. What I am going to say below is not to fool you.

Nails and hair continue to grow

The growth here is relative, not real growth. After death, the body naturally stops growing hair and nails. But after death, the skin loses moisture and shriveles up (this is a nightmare for girls), making more hair and nails exposed, and of course they will be longer than before.

So when you go to measure your hair and nails, you will be surprised to find that they have grown a little longer.

Brain activity

Thanks to advanced modern technology, the line between life and death can sometimes be blurred. Even if the brain is removed, the heart can still beat "thump thump". If the heart stops working for one minute and breathing stops, the person is almost halfway in the coffin.

Although the brain remains alive for several minutes, most doctors will declare the patient dead. In order to survive, brain cells will kill each other in these few minutes to compete for oxygen and nutrients. The damage caused to the brain cannot be saved even by cardiac resuscitation. If you make good use of those few minutes before the damage is done and use appropriate medication to stimulate the condition, then with luck your life may be saved.

Skin cell growth

This is another function that likes to go against the corpse. Brain cells will die after a few minutes without the added bonus of blood circulation, but other cells don't need the constant loving care of blood as much. The skin cells on the surface of our bodies are used to being exposed and fending for themselves.

So they can live for a few more days after death, which can be said to be good fortune for fools.

Urinating

Except for the case of incontinence caused by laughing too coquettishly, urination is a voluntary behavior in our opinion. We never think about these things because a certain part of the brain has already solved these problems for us, just like adjusting breathing or heartbeat. Of course, sometimes the brain freezes and we wet our pants because we drink too much.

This part of the brain is responsible for keeping our sphincter muscles closed. (Large amounts of alcohol can also stop breathing and heartbeat, so alcohol is poisonous so don’t drink too much.) Muscles will become stiff several hours after death. When people just die, the muscles will relax and they will urinate naturally.

Poop

We all know that the desire to defecate disappears when we are nervous, especially in front of people or in front of the camera. But once you relax, good luck will come. After death, it is the gas produced in the body that helps with defecation. This often happens a few hours after death.

Interestingly, the fetus also poops while in the mother’s belly (it’s true!), so does this count as the end of “shit”?

Digestion

When you die, you create even more waste because there are flies and insects taking care of your afterlife. There are countless other microorganisms in our bodies, some of which are beneficial to us.

Many bacteria living in the intestines will not rest just because you die. They help us digest, and some can even help us handle other life activities. Their work does not stop whether we live or die. Others will gnaw on our intestinal mucosa, produce gas, and expel waste from the intestines.
