Cause: Mainly bladder and urethra diseases. Common causes include: ① Bladder and urethra irritation: The most common is inflammatory irritation, such as pyelonephritis, kidney stones and infection, renal tuberculosis, cystitis, urethritis, prostatitis, and vaginitis. It is most obvious in acute inflammation and active urinary tract tuberculosis. Non-inflammatory stimuli such as stones (bladder stones, urethral stones, stones in the lower 1/3 of the ureter, etc.), tumors (bladder, urethra, prostate tumors, etc.), foreign bodies in the bladder or urethra, bladder fistulas and pregnancy compression. ② Decreased bladder capacity: such as bladder space-occupying lesions, or inflammatory infiltration, sclerosis, and contracture of the bladder wall leading to reduced bladder capacity. ③ Abnormal regulation of bladder nerve function: seen in mental tension and hysteria, may be accompanied by urinary urgency but no urinary pain.

If there is pain at the end of urination and urinary urgency, the lesion is mostly in the bladder, which is common in acute cystitis.

If there is obvious pain at the end of urination, pain still exists after urination, or a feeling of "empty pain", or pain occurs even when not urinating, the lesions are mostly in the urethra or adjacent organs, such as trigone inflammation, prostatitis, etc.
