My right middle finger is numb, what's going on?

We often do not pay attention to various symptoms that appear in our body. For example, when the middle finger of our right hand becomes numb, we think it is due to excessive use of the hands and that it will be fine after a rest. In fact, this is not only due to fatigue, it may also be due to illness. So why does the middle finger of the right hand feel numb?

Generally speaking, there are several diseases that can cause numbness in fingers.

1. Cervical spondylosis.

This is the most common occupational disease in modern times. It often occurs after a period of continuous desk work. In addition to numbness, these people may also experience pain in the shoulders, neck, and upper limbs.

2. Stroke.

People over 40 years old who often experience headaches, dizziness, lightheadedness, numbness of fingers, and who also have high blood lipids, high blood pressure, and a history of smoking must be alert to the onset of stroke. In addition, some people with more severe cerebral arteriosclerosis may also suffer a stroke.

3. Diabetes.

Many diabetic patients often find numbness or pain in their hands and feet. If this phenomenon is not taken seriously, it will cause neurological sequelae. Numbness in the hands and feet is the initial stage of peripheral neuropathy in diabetic patients. Therefore, obese people and those with a family history of diabetes should measure their blood sugar in time when finger numbness occurs.

4. Menopausal syndrome.

Some women experience numbness in their fingertips during menopause. However, this phenomenon is temporary and will disappear automatically after menopause.

5. Raynaud's syndrome.

In addition to numbness in the fingers, patients of this type often also experience tingling, fear of cold, and fear of touching any hard objects, and need special medication for treatment.
