Can cervical erosion cause pelvic effusion? What is the relationship between the two?

Many times, because we do not have enough medical knowledge, we cannot treat ourselves and have to go to the hospital for the slightest illness. But in the doctors' opinion, many diseases sound scary, but in fact they do not need to be treated and are a waste of money. So what is pelvic effusion and what is cervical erosion?

What is pelvic effusion?

Pelvic effusion is pelvic accumulation of water, which is the presence of inflammatory exudate in the pelvis, mostly caused by gynecological inflammation. It is a common and frequently occurring disease among women, and clinically it is mainly divided into pathological and physiological types. Physiological pelvic effusion does not cause much harm to women, but pathological pelvic effusion is mostly caused by inflammation and can cause great harm if not treated in time.

Common causes of pelvic effusion include:

1. Caused by gynecological inflammation: Pathological gynecological pelvic effusion is mostly caused by gynecological inflammation such as pelvic inflammatory disease, adnexitis or endometriosis.

2. Bad hygiene habits: such as having sexual intercourse during menstruation, within one month after childbirth, taking a bath within one month after gynecological surgery, etc.

3. Medical-induced infection: Medical-induced infection caused by inadequate disinfection and improper operation during surgery in irregular or black clinics can also cause pelvic effusion.

4. Other disease causes: It may also be caused by tuberculosis or tumors. In a few cases, it may be caused by rupture, corpus luteum rupture, pelvic abscess, chocolate cyst, and ovarian cancer.

What is cervical erosion?

Cervical erosion is a relatively common gynecological inflammation. It is reported that if cervical erosion is not treated in time, it will easily lead to pelvic inflammatory disease, and pelvic inflammatory disease will further develop into pelvic effusion. Therefore, cervical erosion can cause pelvic effusion to some extent, so patients must be careful.
