What is itching and pimples on the face? What to do with spring skin allergies

Facial skin allergy is a common skin problem. The main symptoms are itching, which may also be accompanied by redness, swelling, dryness, and even blisters, scabs on the lesions, etc. So what are the symptoms of spring skin allergies?

1. Symptoms of spring skin allergies

In spring, the human body's metabolic capacity gradually increases, the secretion of sebaceous glands increases, and the skin also changes itself. During this period, the skin is very sensitive. If you do not pay attention to protection and maintenance, you will suffer from dermatitis. Women's skin is more prone to allergies.

Dryness, itching, peeling, and erythema are common manifestations of skin allergies. Skin allergies are most common on the face, but can also be seen on the upper arms, neck and shoulders.

2. Causes of skin allergies in spring

Skin sensitivity is related to dry skin, as well as to environment, climate, age, food, medicine, cosmetics, and psychological factors. Common allergens in life include the following:

1. Inhaled allergens such as pollen, catkins, dust, mites, animal dander, oil smoke, paint, car exhaust, gas, cigarettes, etc.

2. Ingested allergens such as: milk, eggs, fish, shrimp, beef, mutton, seafood, animal fat, foreign protein, alcohol, drugs, antibiotics, anti-inflammatory drugs, sesame oil, essence, onion, ginger, garlic and some vegetables and fruits.

3. Contact allergens such as: cold air, hot air, ultraviolet rays, radiation, cosmetics, shampoo, detergent, hair dye, soap, chemical fiber products, plastic, metal jewelry (watches, necklaces, rings, earrings), bacteria, mold, viruses, parasites, etc.

4. Injectable allergens: penicillin, streptomycin, xenobiotic serum, etc.

5. New allergens: Functional disorders of the body caused by mental stress, work pressure, microbial infection, ionizing radiation, etc. can also become allergens.

3. What to do if your skin is allergic in spring

1. Keep your skin clean. Spring is windy and dusty. The dust mixed with the abundant sebum secretion can easily cause rough skin. Therefore, you should always keep your skin clean. You can use mild facial cleanser and lotion to help kill bacteria, clean and soften the skin.

2. Do not change the cosmetic brands you are used to at will, because the skin needs to adapt to the new climate and is in a period when its ability to resist and adapt to the external environment is relatively weak. If you change the brand at will, allergies are likely to occur.

3. Pay attention to skin moisturizing at all times to enhance skin resistance. You can choose refreshing, hydrophilic skin care products. The oil-rich skin care products used in winter should be used as little as possible.

4. Pay attention to the impact of wind and sand on the skin. People with sensitive skin should pay special attention to using scarves, masks, etc. to cover themselves when going out to avoid being blown by the wind.

5. Eat more fresh fruits and vegetables, and less irritating foods that may easily cause allergic reactions, such as seafood, bamboo shoots, etc. Apply cool towel to the affected area, keep it away from heat, light and any other contact.

6. Applying calamine lotion or chamomile hydrosol, purslane, cactus and other plant essences can have a soothing effect. If the condition is serious, seek medical attention immediately. Otherwise, the accumulation of inflammatory factors will make the body more and more sensitive.
