What to do with allergic toothache?

Most people are very familiar with toothache, and many people have experienced it. Although toothache is common, there are many types of toothache. Ordinary toothache is different from allergic toothache. Allergic toothache may occur when encountering something too cold, too sour or too hot. Most allergic toothache is caused by pulp sensitivity, and may also be caused by inflammation. It is best to go to the hospital for symptomatic treatment.

There are four ways to relieve toothache caused by tooth sensitivity

1. Use sodium fluoride or desensitizing toothpaste to brush your teeth: brush your teeth twice a day, 3 minutes each time. In addition, gargling with drugs that have a desensitizing effect, commonly used is 3% strontium chloride solution, gargle 3-4 times a day, each time for 3 minutes, so that the drug solution can fully contact the sensitive area of the teeth.

2. You can rub garlic or chew tea leaves or walnut meat: These methods are popular among the people and have been confirmed as good ways after everyone has tried them.

3. Go to the hospital for treatment: Use iodine phenol for thermal desensitization once a week, usually 2-3 times will be effective; you can also apply 75% sodium fluoride paste to sensitive teeth. Fluoride or calcium ion introduction can also be used to treat "sour teeth" caused by decalcification of most teeth or all teeth in the mouth.

4. If the above methods are not effective: for individual "recessed teeth", a cavity can be prepared in the sensitive area and filled with filling materials; a crown can also be used to isolate the stimulation of the factors that cause the "recessed teeth".

Allergic toothache is easily irritated by cold, so it is best to brush your teeth with warm water and rinse your mouth with warm tea. When brushing your teeth, you can also choose toothpaste containing fluoride, because fluoride can prevent teeth from dephosphorizing and decalcifying in an acidic environment, and can effectively resist acid and relieve pain. If the toothache is severe, you can also choose some methods of applying medicine, such as using Yunnan Baiyao powder, then adding an appropriate amount of hot water, stirring evenly into a thin paste, and then applying it directly to the patient's painful area. It can have anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects. Of course, in addition to Western medicine treatment, some Chinese medicine treatment effects are also very good, such as buffalo horn, Cimicifuga, Angelica dahurica, Saposhnikovia divaricata, Chuanxiong, Aconitum carmichaelii, Notopterygium wilfordii, Scutellaria baicalensis, Nardostachys grandiflora, licorice, etc., which are decocted in water and taken. However, it is best to choose the best medication based on your individual condition.

Patients with allergic toothache should pay special attention to their diet and avoid eating foods that are too salty, too hot, too cold, too spicy, or other irritating foods. They can brush their teeth and rinse their mouths with warm water, and insist on brushing their teeth and cleaning their mouths every day to maintain good periodontal health habits. It is best to go to the hospital for regular health care. For allergic toothache, you should be careful not to eat spicy food, and eat less sour, too cold, or too hot food. You should also pay special attention to oral hygiene and develop good habits of brushing your teeth in the morning and evening and rinsing your mouth after meals. Especially before going to bed, it is not advisable to eat sweets, biscuits and other foods.
