Aphid control methods

General pesticides are not very effective in treating aphids, so you need to go to the pharmacy to buy the corresponding aphid spray. Aphids can eat the roots and stems of plants in a short period of time. Vegetables grown at home are easily infected with aphids if they are not treated with chemical fertilizers. If you want to grow vegetables beautifully, it is essential to eliminate aphids. So, how do you solve this problem?

Take advantage of the smells that aphids like, aphids like sweet smells and the smell of willow.

You can use sweet and sour wine (dissolve white sugar in hot water, not too much water, then add vinegar and wine, until there is a sweet smell), put it in a small cup of white wine or a small measuring cup for drinking medicine, and put it next to the affected plants in the evening when aphids are active. This method is used by small families.

Use willow branches, rub them into a pulp, and tie them into bundles to attract a large number of aphids, and then kill them in a concentrated manner. Suitable for large areas with severe disasters. Because plants have certain defense capabilities, there is no need to worry about the harm caused by a small number of aphids.

Use wood ash water. Mix wood ash (which can be made from burned hay and the ash remaining after it is burned out) and water in a ratio of 1:5. It will be more convenient to spray it on the affected plants where aphids are present. It can also supplement potassium fertilizer, killing two birds with one stone.

Taking advantage of aphids’ phototaxis

Use black light, which can be used in any occasion. It can not only kill aphids, but also avoid other pests.

Use irritating pepper water or chili water

Take a certain amount of dried chili peppers or Sichuan peppercorns, boil them in boiling water until the water changes color, wait for the water to cool down, remove the impurities, and then spray the chili pepper (Sichuan peppercorn) water on the affected plants. The effect is quite obvious.

Use 1 gram of urea as insecticide, add 1.25 grams of laundry detergent, and 100 ml of water to make a solution and use a small spray tube, but do not use it too frequently.

Use imidacloprid according to the instructions on the package and it will not damage the flowers.
