Why do I feel dizzy when I wake up in the morning?

If you always feel dizzy when you wake up in the morning, you need to be alert to whether it is caused by cervical spondylosis or low blood pressure. In addition, dizziness may also be caused by neurasthenia and lack of sleep.

1: Causes of cervical spine

Cervical spondylosis is related to lifestyle habits. The age range of patients is very large, and many patients are in their 20s. They often experience dizziness after getting up in the morning, and sometimes are afraid to open their eyes. Severe cases may cause nausea and vomiting.

2. Low blood pressure

If you have an irregular diet or a family history of low blood pressure, the dizziness may be relatively mild. Because the blood supply to the brain suddenly decreases when you change from a supine position to an upright position, dizziness occurs and will gradually ease after you return to a supine or sitting position.

3. Rhinitis

Sinusitis (and many people have both) is caused by nasal congestion and decreased ventilation. In fact, the brain does not get enough oxygen when sleeping at night. In a state of chronic hypoxia for a long time, dizziness after waking up in the morning will occur.

4. Neurasthenia

Such patients often have trouble sleeping at night, or wake up easily, and some have many dreams. It seems that although they have slept all night, their brains have not gotten enough rest, so in addition to dizziness, they also feel tired when they wake up in the morning. Some people describe sleeping for a night as feeling more tiring than working for a whole night. This is the reason for poor sleep quality.
