It has a good effect on treating rhinitis, nasal congestion, colds, and toothaches. People with these diseases can massage Shang Yingxiang point more. 1. Method of selecting acupoints Located next to the midpoint of the outer edge of the nose, in the middle of the nasolabial groove. Anatomy: In the quadratus labii superioris muscle, deep to the edge of the piriform foramen; there are branches of the facial artery and vein and the infraorbital artery and vein; there is an anastomotic plexus of the facial nerve and infraorbital nerve. 2. Main diseases Nasal congestion, nose bleeding, crooked mouth, itchy face, and biliary ascariasis. Acupuncture and moxibustion: oblique or horizontal insertion 0.3 to 0.5 inches. Notes: (l) The intersection point of the hand and foot yangming meridians. (2) Wai Tai: Moxibustion is not suitable. Yingxiang point is the meeting point of the Yangming meridians of the hands and feet. Another name: Chongyang Point. Meaning of the acupoint: Receives the turbid Qi of grains from the Yangming Stomach Meridian and transmits the clear Yang Qi of the Large Intestine Meridian to the Stomach Meridian. Explanation of the name: (1) Yingxiang. Ying means to welcome and receive. Fragrance is the energy of the spleen, stomach and five grains. The name of this acupoint means that this acupoint receives qi and blood supplied by the stomach meridian. The Large Intestine Meridian and the Stomach Meridian are both Yangming Meridians. The levels of qi and blood substances are similar in the celestial body. Yingxiang is adjacent to the Stomach Meridian and is located at a low position. Therefore, the turbid qi of the Stomach Meridian is transmitted downward to this point, hence the name. (2) Chongyang acupoint. Chong means going straight up. Yang refers to yang energy. The name of Chongyang acupoint means that the Yang Qi of the large intestine meridian rushes up from this point and connects to the Yangming stomach meridian. This point is the highest point of all the acupoints on the Large Intestine Meridian. The Yang Qi that ascends along the Large Intestine Meridian gathers here. This point is at the same level as the Qi and blood substances of the Yangming Stomach Meridian. Therefore, the Yang Qi in this point rushes straight upward and connects with the Yangming Stomach Meridian, hence the name. (3) The meeting point of the Yangming meridians of the hands and feet. The principle is the same as the explanation of Yingxiang and Chongyang. Characteristics of Qi and blood: The substance of Qi and blood is the Qi of the heaven. Operation rule: The ascending yang energy of the large intestine meridian intersects with the stomach meridian here, while the descending turbid energy of the stomach meridian intersects with the large intestine meridian here. Function: Exchange the celestial qi between the large intestine meridian and the stomach meridian. Treatment method: If it is cold, tonify and apply moxibustion; if it is hot, purge it. |
