At first glance, schizophrenia sounds like a very serious condition. In fact, this is the case. Medically, it is shown that the onset of schizophrenia is closely related to genetic factors. Some are caused by poor living environment or other possible factors such as great psychological pressure. So, let’s talk about today what are the methods of treating schizophrenia in traditional Chinese medicine? 1. Select the acupoints Baihui, Yintang, Sishencong, Neiguan and Sanyinjiao. The technique is based on the patient's condition. Generally, it is a balanced tonification and purgation method, and the needles are left in for 30 to 60 minutes. If accompanied by other symptoms, additional acupoints need to be added: for insomnia, add Anmian and Shenmen; for inattention, add Zusanli; for chest tightness and palpitations, add Tanzhong; for dizziness and headache, add Fengchi and Hegu; for poor appetite, add Zhongwan and Zusanli. One course of treatment is 10 times. Rest for 3 days after 1 course of treatment. This method of treating depression is effective, has few adverse reactions, is quick to take effect, and is not prone to dependence. 2. Select the acupoints on both sides of the head (equivalent to the temples) and the elbow bend (equivalent to Quze acupoint). Use a three-edged needle to prick each of the above-mentioned parts once (puncture bleeding), and about 100 ml of purple-black blood will flow out. Do it again after about 15 days. This acupuncture method is mainly used to treat mental illness. It is usually caused by fright, and symptoms include running around, howling, crying, or giggling, singing, etc. 3. Select the acupoints Quze, Yangjiao, Taichong and Zusanli. Use a three-edged needle to prick the selected acupoints or blood vessels near the acupoints for bleeding. The first time should be more (about 15-30 ml of total bleeding), and then gradually reduce it. Those who are strong should eat more, while those who are weak should eat less. Once a day or every other day. It also treats mental illness (mania). 4. Traditional Chinese medicine believes that the brain is the home of the soul and is closely related to mental activities. Modern neurophysiology, neuroimaging, and neurotransmitter studies have shown that patients with depression often have dysfunctional neurotransmitters such as norepinephrine and changes in hippocampal volume, which provides a modern medical theoretical basis for the treatment of depression with scalp acupuncture. Traditional Chinese medicine uses the brain-awakening and orifice-opening acupuncture method to treat patients with depression, mainly focusing on Neiguan, Renzhong, Shangxing, Yintang, and Baihui, and selects acupoints according to the symptoms, with an overall effective rate of 95.6%. Whether it is traditional Chinese medicine or advanced Western medicine technology, there are many ways to treat schizophrenia. As for the efficacy, it is definitely inseparable from the patient's persistence. Therefore, as long as the patient receives treatment, he or she must persist. Stopping treatment midway or changing the dosage without authorization will greatly reduce the efficacy of the treatment. |
