What to do if women have postpartum urticaria

Many women will also experience symptoms of urticaria after childbirth. In the face of postpartum urticaria, it is recommended that women pay attention to reasonable dietary taboos, avoid eating spicy and irritating foods, and seafood and eggs. At the same time, they should pay attention to personal hygiene and not scratch with their hands.

1. For pregnant women who are in good health after delivery, before they have any disease, no systemic symptoms, can move freely and take care of themselves, they can engage in appropriate entertainment, strengthen physical exercise, increase washing, and learn some nursing knowledge about the disease.

2. Eat a reasonable and normal diet. Do not eat foods that are prohibited for pregnant women. You can eat them after a while. If necessary, avoid seafood, eggs and other foods; avoid strong tea, alcohol, spicy food.

(1) Avoid eating. Chocolate, eggs, kernels, seafood, bamboo shoots, taro, spinach, peanuts, wine, strawberries, mangoes, longans, lychees, and foods containing food preservatives, colorings, and additives.

(2) Suitable for eating. Products that clear heat, detoxify and remove dampness, such as: mung beans, winter melon, loofah, and coix seed.

3. Do not scratch if your body skin is itchy. Try to avoid scratching or rubbing, or washing with hot soapy water. Remember to trim your nails.

4. Pay attention to daily hygiene and avoid any irritation to the skin.

Urticaria is an allergic disease and is not contagious to children. Desensitization drugs can be used for treatment. It is best not to breastfeed on the day of using the desensitization drugs. If the half-life of the drug is long, the interval between feedings should be extended accordingly.

After the onset of urticaria, the skin all over the body becomes unbearably itchy, and large wheals appear on the skin after scratching with the hands. The cause of urticaria is relatively complicated, and more than half of the patients cannot find the cause. However, postpartum urticaria may be related to wind during the confinement period. Therefore, it is best to treat this disease with a combination of Chinese and Western medicine, which can regulate the autonomic nervous system while fighting allergies, nourishing blood and removing wind. This three-pronged approach can relieve the troubles of urticaria patients.
