Stiff Neck Massage

Stiff Neck Massage

Stiff neck can be treated with massage. After the massage, your neck will feel very comfortable and the pain in your neck will gradually go away. If you want to sleep without a stiff neck, the best way is to choose a pillow that suits you, then develop a good sleeping posture, go to bed on time, get up early in time, and move your body early, you will feel refreshed. You can also use some folk remedies to treat stiff neck, but remember to take medicine under the doctor's advice.

Every time we get a stiff neck after sleeping, after getting up we all wonder why we got a stiff neck. There are two main reasons for stiff neck. One is improper sleeping posture, with the pillow being too high or too low, causing the head to slide under the pillow and causing the neck to tilt to one side. The other is catching a cold during sleep, which causes local meridians to be blocked and blood circulation to be poor. When you have a stiff neck, your neck and back will become stiff, and you will feel pain if you move a little, and it is difficult to relieve. So what should we do if we have a stiff neck? Today I will teach you how to press these three places to relieve your stiff neck!

Massage three places to relieve stiff neck

1. Press and rub the pillow point on the ear reflexology area

For stiff neck, press the occipital points on both ears of the patient. Be patient for a while. When the pain eases a little, the neck can be turned. After pressing for 2 to 3 minutes, the stiff neck will feel much more relaxed. Continue pressing for a few minutes and the neck will be able to move freely.

2. Thumb rotation

Lift up the foot on the same side of your stiff neck, spread your big toe apart, and slowly massage and rotate it in a clockwise or counterclockwise direction. This will help to improve your stiff neck as much as possible (if you find that the muscles on your big toe are tight, it means your neck is sprained and you need to go to the hospital). Regular massage will directly or indirectly relax the muscles in your neck and help prevent neck injuries. Especially if you often sit in front of the computer to work, you must massage regularly!

3. Use a rolling pin to rub the affected side of the neck

In fact, stiff neck is not that scary, and there is no need to go to the hospital and suffer so much. Take out the rolling pin at home, and ask your family to imagine your neck as a piece of dough. Then use the same force as you would when rolling dough to roll your neck, which is unable to turn around.

Note: To prevent stiff neck, you must choose a pillow that meets physiological requirements. Generally speaking, the ideal pillow height for men is about 6 to 8 cm, and for women is about 4 to 7 cm.
