Black tartar around the teeth

Black tartar around the teeth

Many people have tartar. Even if you brush your teeth every morning and evening, you cannot avoid the appearance of tartar. Some people have black tartar around their teeth. In fact, tartar contains a lot of bacteria. If it is not cleaned properly for a long time, it may lead to tooth-related diseases, such as caries, periodontitis, etc. So what are the hazards of tartar? If there is black tartar around the teeth, how to remove it? What issues should you pay attention to in order to avoid the growth of tartar?

1. The harm of dental plaque: The bacteria in dental plaque are mainly streptococci and anaerobic bacteria that exist in the normal oral cavity. When dental plaque accumulates to a certain thickness, the bacteria inside it close to the surface of the teeth begin to switch to anaerobic respiration because they are isolated from the air. The acid produced here by anaerobic respiration cannot be washed away by saliva in time, so it will corrode the mineral components in the enamel and further promote the formation of caries. Tartar accumulated at the roots of teeth can also irritate the gums and lead to periodontal diseases such as periodontitis. The damage caused by tartar to teeth increases with the time it accumulates, so it should be removed regularly. Tartar is very soft in texture and can be effectively removed with a toothbrush and toothpaste. Generally, brushing your teeth twice a day, morning and evening, can achieve better results. Use dental floss between teeth and other hard-to-reach areas. Teeth cleaning can further ensure that plaque is thoroughly removed. The long-term deposited dental plaque will calcify and form hard tartar after combining with minerals and other components in saliva. Tartar is generally tightly attached to the surface of teeth and its removal needs to be performed by professionals such as dentists.

2. Methods for removing dental plaque (1) Vinegar method: Take some vinegar and gargle it in your mouth without spitting it out. Hold it in your mouth for two or three minutes and then spit it out. Then brush your mouth with a toothbrush and finally rinse your mouth with warm water. Or when brushing your teeth, add two drops of vinegar to the toothpaste and brush your teeth. This will remove the tartar. (This method can clean teeth but it hurts them.) (2) Brown sugar brushing method: first take an appropriate amount of brown sugar and put it in your mouth. Hold it for about 15 minutes so that all the teeth in your mouth are immersed in the sugar solution. Then use a harder toothbrush to brush your teeth repeatedly for two or three minutes. Then use light salt water to brush your teeth for one or two minutes. Do this once in the morning and evening every day for one week to remove the stains. (3) White alum toothbrushing method: Grind 50 grams of white alum into powder and brush your teeth with a toothbrush twice a day to remove yellow tartar. (4) Cuttlefish bone toothbrushing method: Take 50 grams of cuttlefish bone and grind it into fine powder. Mix it with toothpaste and brush your teeth twice a day to remove black tartar. The above are all simple methods to remove dental plaque. As long as you can keep your teeth free of dental plaque, tartar will not form. Once tartar is formed, the above methods will be of little use and you will have to ask your dentist to scrape it off with instruments. This is a time-consuming, incomplete and tooth-damaging method. Using an ultrasonic dental cleaner to remove tartar is more effective.

3. Daily care 1. Remember to rinse your mouth after drinking tea, coffee or red wine. 2. Pay attention to the correct way of brushing your teeth. The correct way is to brush vertically, not horizontally. 3. Use dental floss to completely remove food debris and plaque between teeth. 4. Brush your teeth in the morning and evening.
