How do anal polyps occur? Five factors are the key

Anal polyps are a common disease with a rising incidence rate. Bad living habits, dietary factors, genetic factors, feces, foreign body stimulation, mechanical injury, inflammatory stimulation, etc. may all cause the disease.

1. Bad living habits : Irregular life can also lead to acidification of body fluids, causing intestinal cell mutation and hyperplasia, etc.

2. Dietary factors: Dietary factors have a certain relationship with the formation of anal polyps, especially the interaction between bacteria and bile acid, which may be the basis for the formation of adenomatous polyps (adenomatous polyps [translation]: also known as "polypoid adenomas". Mucosal adenomas are mostly polyp-like and are found in the gastrointestinal mucosa, more often in the colon.)

3. Genetic factors: It is generally believed that the formation of colon polyps is closely related to gene mutation and genetic factors. Current research shows that mutated genes can be inherited from parents to offspring, and men and women have equal inheritance opportunities without gender differences.

4. Irritation from feces, foreign bodies and mechanical damage : Long-term stimulation of the intestinal mucosal epithelium by fecal residue and foreign bodies, as well as other reasons that cause damage to the rectal mucosa, cause abnormal cell proliferation and the formation of polyps.

5. Inflammatory stimulation : Long-term inflammatory stimulation of the intestinal mucosa can cause the formation of intestinal mucosal polyps. This is due to the inflammation, congestion and edema of the intestinal mucosa. After the erosion and ulcer heal, the scars gradually shrink and form polyps. Chronic inflammatory stimulation causes gland obstruction and mucus retention, leading to the disease.

Warm reminder: Anal polyps are anorectal diseases that can cause cancer. Because anal polyps are painless in the early stages, they are often ignored by patients. Repeated bleeding can lead to anemia and malnutrition, and most colorectal cancers are likely to be derived from neoplastic polyp adenomas. Therefore, early diagnosis of anal polyps will have positive significance for the prevention and treatment of colorectal cancer.
