1. Moxibustion on the calf nose for knee pain

Location: Between the patella and tibia, on the outside of the patellar ligament.

2. Moxibustion for knee pain at Sanyinjiao

Location: Located three inches (four finger widths) above the tip of the medial malleolus, on the posterior edge of the tibia.

3. Moxibustion Liangqiu for knee pain

Position: Straighten your legs with force and a depression will form on the outside of your knee, about three fingers wide from here toward the thigh.

Indications: swollen and painful knee joints, paralysis of lower limbs, mastitis, and stomach cramp pain.

4. Moxibustion on Zusanli for knee pain

Location: Three inches (four horizontal fingers) directly below the Dubi point, about one horizontal finger away from the tibia.

Indications: lower limb paralysis, stomach pain, indigestion, vomiting, constipation, hypertension, intestinal rumbling, insomnia, dizziness, headache, abdominal distension, diarrhea, etc.

5. Moxibustion on the inner knee joint for knee pain

Location: Bend your knees and keep your calves perpendicular to the ground. The small depression below the patella is the knee point, and the small depression on the inside is the inner knee point.

Efficacy: It is mainly used to treat swollen and painful knees and patellas. Combined with moxibustion, it can effectively dispel the cold, prevent the cold air from reaching the knees, and relieve knee pain.

6. Moxibustion on Yinlingquan acupoint for knee pain

Location: On the inner side of the calf, in the small depression between the lower inner edge of the tibia and the inner edge of the tibia, this location is the location of Yinlingquan.

Efficacy: Mainly used to treat knee pain, and is commonly used in modern times to treat diseases of the knee joint and surrounding soft tissues.

7. Moxibustion on Zhongwan acupoint for knee pain

Location: There is a xiphoid process under the two ribs, and the Zhongwan point is located between them.

Efficacy: Zhongwan acupoint is responsible for transportation and transformation. Moxibustion on Zhongwan can remove dampness. No dampness is produced in the body and dampness will not reach the knees, so the knees will naturally not hurt.

How to treat knee pain with moxibustion

Moxibustion therapy is to burn moxa cones made of mugwort and apply them to the acupuncture points on the body that need treatment, so that the medicinal gas and fire temperature of the moxa leaves can penetrate into the muscles, bones and meridians, thus achieving the purpose of curing the disease. It seems that moxibustion therapy uses simple materials and is convenient to treat, but its effects are not simple. Ancient doctors said, "When medicine is not enough and acupuncture is not adequate, moxibustion is necessary." It has the effects of warming yang and replenishing qi, relaxing meridians and dredging collaterals, resolving blood stasis and dispersing nodules, and replenishing the middle and benefiting qi.

How to use moxibustion sticks for knee pain:

Use gentle moxibustion, and the order of moxibustion is first up and then down. Light the moxa stick and aim the lit end at the place that needs to be fumigated, about 2-3 cm away from the skin. Moxibustion until the skin flushes and the heat is tolerable to the individual. Generally, moxibustion each acupoint for 10-15 minutes, once a day.

How to use moxibustion box for knee pain:
