Gastric mucosal erosion is a common type of gastritis. Patients will experience symptoms such as acid reflux, decreased appetite, fullness after meals, and upper abdominal pain. If you have gastric mucosal erosion, you should avoid eating raw, cold, irritating, and hard foods, especially in the summer, and avoid cold drinks. You should pay attention to hygiene in your diet. 1. Symptoms 1. Multiple wart-like, enlarged, wrinkled or papular protrusions appear on the gastric mucosa, with a diameter of 5 to 10 mm. Mucosal defects or umbilical depressions can be seen on the top, with erosion in the center. There is usually no red halo around the protrusions, but they are often accompanied by erythema of similar size. They are more common in the gastric antrum and can be divided into persistent type and disappearing type. 2. In the systematic classification of chronic gastritis, erosive gastritis is a special type of gastritis, and the endoscopic classification is raised erosive gastritis and flat erosive gastritis. Chronic gastritis lacks specific symptoms, and the severity of the symptoms of chronic erosive gastritis is not consistent with the degree of gastric mucosal lesions. 3. The symptoms of chronic erosive gastritis usually manifest as varying degrees of indigestion symptoms such as upper abdominal pain, acid reflux, fullness after meals, loss of appetite, etc. Patients with atrophic gastritis may have anemia, diarrhea, glossitis and emaciation. Some patients with mucosal erosion have obvious upper abdominal pain and may have bleeding. 2. Dietary taboos Avoid overly cold, hot, or hard food: Overly cold food and drinks can cause stomach cramps and constriction of blood vessels in the gastric mucosa, which is not conducive to the disappearance of inflammation. Long-term inflammation can cause damage to the mucosa; overheated food and drinks can directly burn or irritate the gastric mucosa after ingestion. Foods that are too hard and rough, vegetables high in crude fiber, and foods that are fried or grilled can increase the stomach's mechanical digestion burden, causing friction and damage to the gastric mucosa, and aggravating inflammatory lesions of the mucosa. Avoid unclean food: Patients should pay special attention to food hygiene, especially in summer, wash raw fruits and vegetables, and do not eat spoiled food. Because contaminated and spoiled food contains large amounts of bacteria and bacterial toxins, it has a direct destructive effect on the gastric mucosa. It is better to eat slowly: chewing slowly can reduce the irritation of rough food to the gastric mucosa. |
