In the early stages of AIDS, you will experience severe dry mouth

AIDS is an immune system disease. So far, there are only two cases of AIDS being cured in the world, so it can be seen that AIDS is a terminal illness for people. AIDS is generally transmitted through sexual intercourse, blood, etc., so everyone must take care of themselves for their own safety. In the early stages of being a dwarf, you will experience severe dry mouth. Of course, there are other symptoms as well. You can learn more about them in detail.

1. Dry mouth and swollen salivary glands

Dry mouth may be due to AIDS salivary disease, which causes swelling of the salivary glands. This is especially common in children infected with HIV. HIV medicines can reduce gland swelling. Dry mouth can lead to difficulty chewing and digesting, and high levels of mouth acid. This increases the risk of thrush, bacterial infections and tooth decay. Chewing sugar-free gum can help a dry mouth.

Dry mouth can also cause anxiety; there is nasal congestion; and it can be a side effect of certain medications, including some types of antidepressants.

2. Ulcers

Oral ulcers or canker sores are painful sores on the gums, tongue or throatthat may prevent you from eating or drinking. The causes are unknown, but they may be related to members of the herpes virus family (such as CMV). Small ulcers may heal with the use of mouthwash, local anesthetic, or steroid gel. For persistent ulcers, thalidomide may be effective and is prescribed on a named-patient basis in the UK.

3. Candidiasis or thrush

Oral candidiasis or thrush causes white spots in the mouth and throat. Red patches and inflamed cracks in the mouth may occur. Oral thrush is due to a natural fungal growth. Overgrowth may occur when the immune system is compromised (eg, CD4 cell count is less than 400). Thrush may also be associated with antibiotic use or due to conditions such as diabetes.

Several antifungal medications are effective for oral thrush. For mild cases of oral thrush, lozenges or syrup oral solutions (used as a mouthwash and then swallowed) may be effective. There are several options for more severe oral thrush. The most commonly used is fluconazole, which comes as a tablet or a solution.

Medications can be used in low doses to prevent thrush; however, some doctors advise against doing so because resistance can develop. Treatments for thrush often interact with other medicines (such as protease inhibitors). It's a good idea to discuss potential drug interactions with your doctor.

4. Oral cancer

There is evidence that people with HIV may be more likely to develop mouth and throat cancers. These cancers are linked to infection with certain strains of the human papillomavirus (HPV).

5. Gingivitis

Known as gingivitis, the inflammation and pain of the gums is caused by bacteria from dental plaque. Bacterial infection of the gums causes inflammation, swelling, bleeding and bad breath. Regular brushing and flossing can help prevent infection. Antibiotics and mouthwashes can fight the infection, although some rinses may have a strong taste, temporarily stain the teeth, or sting.

6. Herpes

Cold sores are small, painful lesions on the lips or mouth, caused by the herpes virus HSV-1, which take many weeks to heal. Cold sores can be treated with anti-herpes creams; however, some doctors are skeptical about the effectiveness of medications such as oral acyclovir for treating and/or preventing herpes outbreaks.
