What causes hard pimples on thighs?

As the weather gets hotter, our dressing styles become more fashionable, especially female friends often expose their thighs. However, sometimes small red pimples appear on the thighs. The most common cause of small red bumps is an allergic reaction caused by insect bites, which is usually accompanied by severe itching. Each bump is the size of a soybean, and some are just blisters on the surface. But there are other reasons, so what causes the small red bumps on the thighs?

1. Furuncle

A furuncle is a purulent infection of the hair follicles and the tissues surrounding them. Furuncles may be caused by bacterial infection, air or food allergies, life stress, poor hygiene, illness, poor resistance, certain medications, eating too much junk food, wound infection, blood poisoning, or thyroid problems. It is painful, unsightly, sometimes leaves scars, and occasionally even dangerous.

symptom:

1. Pain and tenderness around the boil.

2. The head of the boil is yellow or white, with pus in the middle.

3. Most boils will break out and discharge pus, while some boils will be absorbed by the surrounding tissues. Most cases heal within 2 weeks.

2. Lipoma

Lipoma is a common benign tumor. It is caused by poor eating habits and excessive intake of fatty and high-cholesterol foods, which lead to excessive new adipose tissue, causing excessive fat cells in the body to aggregate and harden. Excessive work pressure and irritability can cause normal fat tissue and blood stasis to be intertwined. Over a long period of time, connective tissue can form to wrap around fat cells and form lipomas.

symptom:

1. It can occur in any part of the body where there is fat. Some cases occur in the limbs, mainly under the skin, but can also be seen deep in the limbs and between the muscle bellies. Most patients are older and it is less common in children.

2. Deep lipomas often grow along the muscles and can reach deep into the periosteum, but rarely invade adjacent bones. Lipomas rarely become malignant and are easily removed surgically.

3. Sebaceous cyst

Sebaceous cysts, commonly known as "sebaceous tumors", are retention cysts formed mainly due to obstruction of the sebaceous gland excretion ducts, which causes the sebaceous gland cystic epithelium to swell with gradually increasing contents. It is characterized by a slowly growing benign lesion. There is white bean curd-like secretion in the cyst.

symptom:

1. Sebaceous cysts protrude from the surface of the skin and are prone to occur in areas rich in sebaceous glands, such as the scalp, face, chest and back, and most of them grow slowly. When there is no concurrent infection, patients generally have no symptoms. The tumors are spherical, single or multiple, and vary in size, ranging from a few millimeters to nearly 10 centimeters.
