What does acupuncture do?

Acupuncture is a traditional culture of Chinese medicine. It has a history of thousands of years in China. A long time ago, when Western medicine had not yet been introduced to China, Chinese people used acupuncture to treat many diseases. The most commonly used moxibustion method among the people is cupping, which can treat headaches, back pain, etc. Almost every disease can be treated with cupping. Almost any type of bottle can be used as a cupping jar.

Ordinary people cannot perform acupuncture by themselves. They must be performed by professional doctors. The earliest needles were made of finely ground bones. Everyone knows that acupuncture can cure diseases, but what is the principle behind acupuncture and why can acupuncture cure diseases?

The effect of acupuncture in dredging the meridians is to make blocked meridians unobstructed and thus enable them to perform their normal physiological functions. This is the most basic and direct therapeutic effect of acupuncture. Meridians "belong to the organs internally and connect to the limbs externally", and circulating qi and blood is one of their main physiological functions. When the meridians function normally, Qi and blood flow smoothly, the internal organs, skin and limbs are nourished and can perform their normal physiological functions. If the meridians malfunction and the circulation of Qi and blood is blocked, it will affect the normal physiological functions of the human body, cause pathological changes and cause the occurrence of diseases. When meridians are blocked, the flow of Qi and blood is obstructed, and its clinical symptoms often manifest as pain, numbness, swelling, ecchymosis, etc. Acupuncture to dredge the meridians is mainly based on the circulation of the meridians. It selects the corresponding acupoints and acupuncture techniques, as well as three-edged needle pricking for bleeding, plum blossom needle tapping, cupping, etc., to make the meridians unobstructed and the qi and blood flow normally, thus achieving the purpose of treating the disease.

The process of disease occurrence, development and outcome is essentially a process of struggle between good and evil. If the positive force overcomes the negative force, the disease will be relieved; if the positive force does not overcome the negative force, the disease will be aggravated. Acupuncture can strengthen the body's vital energy.

After thousands of years of development, Chinese medicine has its own unique understanding of diseases. Everything in the world has yin and yang, and the human body also has yin and yang. If the yin and yang are balanced, you will be less likely to get sick. Acupuncture can not only make the qi and blood flow smoothly, strengthen the body and expel evil, but also regulate yin and yang. People don’t understand the concept of yin and yang. For example, according to traditional Chinese medicine, insomnia is caused by the excess of yang energy.
