Effects of ginger and angelica root

Effects of Ginger and Angelica

Qianghuo and Duhuo can both dispel rheumatism, relieve pain, induce sweating and relieve exterior symptoms, and are used to treat wind-cold-dampness arthralgia and exogenous wind-cold-dampness exterior symptoms. However, Qianghuo has a strong smell and enters the bladder meridian. It has a strong ability to disperse and relieve exterior symptoms. Pharmacological Action

(1) Antipyretic and analgesic.

Its volatile oil can significantly reduce the body temperature of experimental febrile rats and has a significant analgesic effect. The aqueous extract of Qianghuo Shengshi Decoction has obvious antipyretic and analgesic effects on fever in rabbits.

(B) Anti-inflammatory.

Its volatile oil, when administered orally, has a significant inhibitory effect on the swelling of the paws of rats and the swelling of the auricles of mice, and can significantly reduce the permeability of abdominal capillaries and reduce inflammatory exudation. Qianghuo Shengshi Decoction has a strong anti-inflammatory effect. Its water extract can significantly inhibit the hyperpermeability of abdominal capillaries and significantly inhibit inflammatory reactions such as swelling of the plantar edema of rats and swelling of the auricle of mice. It showed a significant inhibitory effect on the early joint swelling of adjuvant-type rats.

(iii) Immunization.

Qianghuo volatile oil can counteract acute myocardial ischemia caused by posterior pituitary hormone. This may be the result of its dilation of coronary arteries and increase in coronary blood flow. Qianghuo volatile oil can significantly increase myocardial nutritional blood flow, thereby improving myocardial ischemia.
