What to eat for aplastic anemia, supplement nutrition!

Aplastic anemia is a disease in which the bone marrow fails due to a variety of causes. Special attention should be paid to the diet of patients with aplastic anemia. As for what foods are good for patients with aplastic anemia, we should mainly follow the principles of nutrition and also pay attention to supplementing high protein.

1. Provide high-protein diet:

The proliferation, differentiation and regeneration of various blood cells all rely on protein as a basis, so patients with aplastic anemia need to provide more animal protein with high nutritional value in their diet, such as protein-rich lean meat, eggs, fish, milk, chicken, soy products and animal kidneys. In addition, eat more turtles, tortoises, and animal bones or bone marrow soups.

2. Supplement hematopoietic substances:

Although aplastic anemia is not caused by lack of hematopoietic substances, repeated bleeding can lead to chronic hemorrhagic anemia, thereby aggravating the anemia of aplastic anemia. Therefore, food should be supplemented with foods rich in iron and vitamins, such as wolfberry, red bean, black sesame, pork liver, eel, etc., as well as fresh vegetables such as tomatoes, celery, spinach, lettuce, etc., which can not only improve anemia but also prevent bleeding.

3. Iron supplement:

Iron is a component of hemoglobin, which is involved in the transport and storage of oxygen. Anemia that occurs because the body's iron storage cannot meet the needs of normal red blood cell production is called iron deficiency anemia, which usually occurs when iron deficiency persists for 3 to 5 months.

When supplementing iron, it is important to take it with meals or after meals, which can reduce the irritation of iron to the gastrointestinal tract. At the same time, the protein in food can increase the absorption rate of iron. For example, the absorption rate of Ti Heng Jian Tie Zhi Yuan tablets, which are rich in ferrous lactate and donkey-hide gelatin, will be better if they are taken with fruits or juices rich in vitamin C.

4. Dietary precautions:

Patients with bleeding should eat light and easy-to-digest food, and avoid greasy, spicy and irritating food; patients with exogenous fever should drink more water; eat more lotus root, watermelon, or use pear peel, fresh impatiens root, fresh reed root, lotus leaf, etc. to make soup and drink it as tea.
