Can massage cure nephrotic syndrome?

Nephrotic syndrome is a relatively serious kidney disease. It is quite difficult to treat for patients, and conservative treatment is the main approach. For patients, proper massage can play a certain role in health care and conditioning. Of course, this can only be regarded as auxiliary treatment and cannot achieve the effect of treating both the symptoms and the root cause. For patients, regular medication is also needed. Of course, daily conditioning is also very important.

1. Immunosuppressants

Western medicine treatment for nephrotic syndrome can be combined with immunosuppressants in cases where hormone treatment is ineffective or has too many side effects.

2. Glucocorticoid therapy

Glucocorticoids can inhibit inflammatory and immune responses, and inhibit the secretion of aldosterone and antidiuretic hormone, thereby achieving a therapeutic effect. Rational use of medication requires that the initial dose be sufficient, the medication duration be long, and the reduction or discontinuation of medication should not be too rapid.

3. Hormone therapy

The commonly used Western medicine treatment for nephrotic syndrome is prednisone. Depending on the type of disease, the patient's response to prednisone, etc., a short course of treatment of 8 weeks, a medium course of treatment of 4-6 months, or a long course of treatment of 9 to 12 months is used. Short courses of treatment are used for simple nephropathy in the initial treatment, while medium and long courses of treatment are used for retreatment or multiple relapses of simple nephropathy or nephritic nephropathy.

4. Cytotoxic drugs

It is suitable for patients with hormone-dependent, hormone-ineffective and recurrent minimal change nephropathy.

5. Diuretics

Generally, in cases that are sensitive to hormone therapy, diuresis may occur 7 to 10 days after taking the medication, and there is no need to use diuretics. Diuretics can be used when edema is severe.

6. Treatment of edema

Severe edema should be treated with diuretics. At the same time, increasing the plasma colloidal osmotic pressure can enhance the diuretic effect. Plasma albumin, plasma substitutes, etc. are all methods of treating nephrotic syndrome.

7. General treatment

Rest in bed, control sodium intake, and provide high-quality protein (animal protein).

Friends with nephrotic syndrome can choose treatment methods according to their own symptoms and physical condition. And formulate a reasonable treatment plan according to the doctor's advice. In order to achieve accurate treatment of nephrotic syndrome. Reduce the occurrence of complications and bring the condition under basic control.
