How to remedy eating crabs during pregnancy

In daily life, crabs are a very popular seafood. Crabs are nutritious and delicious, but crabs are cold in nature, so not everyone can eat them casually. Pregnancy is a very special physiological stage. If a pregnant woman particularly likes to eat crabs, she can eat a little bit and not eat too much. Even so, there are many precautions. As a pregnant woman, it is best not to eat crabs for yourself and the fetus.

What should pregnant women do if they eat crabs?

Because there are many pathogens living in the crab's stomach and intestines, if they are not fresh and uncooked, the pathogens will pass through the intestines and spread to the entire body, causing nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and in severe cases, vomiting and diarrhea.

If the patient continues to vomit and have diarrhea, the body will lose too much water, causing acid-base imbalance or collapse, and even life-threatening. Once poisoning occurs, the first thing to do is to make the patient vomit out all the crab meat he has eaten. The best way is to induce vomiting. You can insert your fingers into the throat and press the root of the tongue to induce vomiting until all the vomiting is done.

If the condition is serious, the above methods may not be very effective and the patient must be rushed to the hospital for emergency treatment without any delay.

Pregnant women are in a special period. If they experience the above symptoms after eating crabs, they should go to the hospital for diagnosis and treatment immediately.

Precautions for pregnant women to eat crabs

1. Pregnant women should not eat dead crabs.

When buying crabs, you should choose crabs that are large, have strong limbs and are highly mobile. Never buy dead crabs. Cook them immediately after buying them, and do not leave them overnight. Crabs are high-protein foods and are very easy to deteriorate. The protein in dead crabs decomposes and bacteria multiply rapidly, which can be harmful to the fetus and pregnant women.

2. Pregnant women should eat cooked crabs.

When cooking crabs, make sure they are steamed and cooked thoroughly, and use high temperature to sterilize the bacteria in the crabs. Pregnant women must never eat raw or half-cooked crabs. Generally, it takes more than 30 minutes of heating after boiling to achieve the disinfection effect.

3. Choose the correct part of the crab to eat.

Pregnant women should not eat crab claws, which is the meat of the large claws. Ancient books say that "crab claws can break the bladder and cause abortion." For the safety of the fetus, pregnant women should eat crab claws. In addition, the triangular bone bag located in the center of the front edge of the cup shell is the crab stomach. The black line from the crab stomach to the crab navel is the crab intestine. There are also crab heart and crab gills. Pregnant women should not eat these parts. Not only do these parts have no edible value, they also contain a lot of mud and bacteria, which can easily cause food poisoning if eaten.

4. When eating crabs, it is best to dip them in ginger vinegar juice to dispel the cold and kill bacteria.

5. Foods that are not suitable to be eaten with crabs:

When eating crabs, you should not eat them with celery, persimmons, pears, oranges, pomegranates, tomatoes, cantaloupe, peanuts, sweet potatoes, honey, rabbit meat and other foods, otherwise it will cause discomfort to your body. It is not recommended to drink tea or cold drinks within 1 hour after eating crabs.
