Dendrobium lindleyi Stendel (Alias: Dendrobium lindleyi Stendel) is a green plant of the genus Dendrobium in the orchid family. The stem is pseudobulb-like, aggregated or scattered, somewhat flattened on both sides, fusiform or ovate-long ring-shaped, 1-5 cm long, 5-15 mm thick, with a terminal leaf, narrowed at the tip, with 4 ribs and 2-5 nodes, dry light brown and glossy. The leaves are leathery, long and circular, 3-8 cm long and 6-30 mm wide. The raceme emanates from the top of the stem, is much longer than the stem, up to 27 cm, and sparsely bears a few to more than 10 carnations; the medicine cap is hemispherical, smooth, and has an uneven edge at the front end. Flowering period is April-May.

The stem is pseudobulb-shaped, aggregated or scattered, somewhat flattened on both sides, fusiform or ovate-long ring-shaped, 1-5 cm long, 5-15 mm thick, with a terminal leaf, narrowed at the tip, with 4 ribs and 2-5 nodes, dry light brown and glossy; nodes are 1-2 cm long, covered with milky white membranous sheaths. The leaves are leathery, oblong, 3-8 cm long, 6-30 mm wide, with obtuse and slightly concave apex, narrowed at the tip but not extending down to form a sheath, and somewhat wavy edges.

Distributed in Bhutan, Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand, Myanmar, Vietnam and my country; in my country, distributed in Guangdong Province (Xinyi, Enping, Luofu Mountain), Hong Kong, Hainan Province (Sanya City, Lingshui, Baisha Town, Qiongzhong, Chengmai), Guangxi Province (Xilin, Daxin, Longzhou, Tianlin, Jingtian, Bobai, Qinzhou, Baise City), and southwestern Guizhou Province (Ceheng). It likes to grow on tree trunks in sparse forests with sufficient sunshine at an altitude of 1000 meters.

Dendrobium officinale has a sweet and mild taste and is warm in nature. It has the effects of replenishing qi and blood, clearing away heat and detoxifying, relieving restlessness, and benefiting the stomach, promoting fluid production and quenching thirst. 30-60 grams of wolf grass (dried) decocted in water can treat skin ulcers, bronchitis, cough, rheumatoid arthritis and tuberculosis.
