How to cure the feeling of stuffiness in the ears

The ears are very important organs. Do not touch them easily, especially after taking a shower. You should be careful not to hurt them randomly and clean out the moisture in the ears. If the ear disease is too serious, it will cause tinnitus and deafness, which will affect our hearing. If there is a feeling of blockage in the ears, you can use some simple and effective methods to treat it, but you must find the right way.

Common symptoms

1. Acute external otitis causes burning, pain, and aural sensation in the external auditory canal. In severe cases, it is accompanied by general fever, malaise, and swollen lymph nodes around the ear. Examination may reveal diffuse congestion and swelling of the external auditory canal. In severe cases, the external auditory canal may be narrowed and the skin may ulcerate.

2. Chronic otitis externa causes discomfort and itching in the external auditory canal, with a small amount of secretions. Patients with a long course of the disease may suffer hearing loss due to thickening of the skin in the external auditory canal. Some chronic otitis externa accompanied by severe itching should be distinguished from fungal otitis externa.

Otitis media

Causes and symptoms

Otitis media, commonly known as "rotten ears", is an inflammation of the tympanic cavity mucosa. When the bacteria enter the tympanic cavity, inflammation occurs when the resistance is weakened or the bacterial toxins are enhanced, which manifests as ear pain (worse at night), fever, chills, bitter taste in the mouth, red or yellow urine, constipation, hearing loss, etc. If the eardrum is perforated, pus will flow out of the ear and the pain will be relieved, which often exists at the same time as chronic mastoiditis. If the acute stage is not treated thoroughly, it will turn into chronic otitis media. Depending on the physical condition and climate changes, pus will often flow out of the ear, sometimes more and sometimes less, and it may last for many years. Traditional Chinese medicine calls this disease "ear pus" or "ear scurvy", and believes that it is caused by the prevalence of damp-heat (fire) evil qi in the liver and gallbladder.

Acute suppurative otitis media is more common in infants and young children clinically. This is mainly because the Eustachian tube, the passage from the ear to the throat in children, is shorter, thicker, and straighter than that in adults. Children are more susceptible to respiratory diseases such as colds, which can easily cause Eustachian tube inflammation, and bacteria enter the middle ear and cause disease. In addition, when children are eating and choking or vomiting occurs, food can easily enter the middle ear through the Eustachian tube and cause inflammation.

Earache, headache, dizziness, fever, mild cases with low fever, severe cases with fever, body temperature can be as high as 40℃, may be accompanied by vomiting, diarrhea, loss of appetite and other systemic symptoms. Babies who can't talk cry and are restless, often scratching their ears. After 1-2 days, the eardrum will be perforated, pus will flow out, and symptoms such as ear pain will be alleviated. If the treatment is not timely or thorough, it can easily turn into chronic otitis media.
