Having genital herpes will cause great psychological pressure on patients, especially for those with recurrent attacks, who often feel particularly distressed. For patients, the first thing to do is to avoid this bad mentality. Secondly, genital herpes is a sexually transmitted disease that can be completely cured. In addition to good medication treatment, daily conditioning and health care are also very important. Actively cooperate with doctors for regular treatment. Antiviral drug treatment can be divided into the following three methods: 1. Acyclovir (acyclovir tablets) is considered to be the most effective anti-HSV drug currently. For severe cases, the drug can be administered intravenously at a dose of 5 mg per kilogram of body weight, once every 8 hours for 5 to 7 days. Generally, patients can take it orally, 200 mg each time, 4 to 5 times a day, for 7 to 10 days. In severe cases, intravenous drip can be used and acyclovir ointment can be applied to the affected area. 2. Ribavirin is a guanosine nucleoside analog that has anti-DNA and RNA virus effects. Taking 800 mg per day for 10 days can relieve pain and shorten the course of the disease. 3. Oral immunostimulant levamisole has certain therapeutic effect, but some reports are not very certain about the effect. Interferon has been found to have an inhibitory effect on HSV in vitro, and its clinical therapeutic effect is still under study. In addition to the above three methods, you can also do a simple treatment for genital herpes at home. It is recommended that patients take an appropriate amount of Scutellaria barbata, mash it and apply it to the affected area, twice a day. Or take appropriate amount of purslane, mash it into a paste, and apply it to the affected area. Change the dressing once a day. Take a few fresh fig leaves, wash and mash them, add appropriate amount of vinegar, mix it into a thin paste, apply it to the affected area, and replace it when it dries. Or take 30g each of raw rhubarb, coptis root and phellodendron, and 15g each of frankincense and myrrh. Grind them into fine powder, mix them with sesame oil to make a paste, and apply it on the sore surface once a day. It has a certain effect on the treatment of genital herpes. Causes of genital herpes: 1. Unclean sexual life: Unclean sexual life is the main cause of genital herpes. To prevent genital herpes, you must keep yourself clean and stay away from unclean sexual life, so as to stay away from the harm of genital herpes. 2. Indirect contact transmission: Clothes, bedding, toilets and bath towels used by genital herpes patients may be contaminated by the patient's secretions and carry the genital herpes virus. Healthy people who live closely with genital herpes patients are easily infected when minor wounds come into contact with these virus-contaminated items. 3. Traumatic infection: Physical trauma, such as surgery, may lead to the appearance of herpes symptoms. A weakened immune system may also lead to herpes symptoms. For example, people whose immune systems are weakened by HIV develop genital herpes more often than people with normal immune systems. |
