Causes of herpes virus in children

Viral herpes is relatively common in children. There are many causes of viral herpes. For example, the latent herpes virus in the body is activated, which makes it easy to get sick. The virus can enter the human body through the oral and genital mucosa and lurk in the human body. When the physical fitness declines, the disease may occur. It is quite harmful to human health and there are many types of manifestations.

Causes of herpes virus in children

Shingles is caused by the activation of the latent varicella-zoster virus in the body. After the virus first infects the patient, it remains dormant in the body's nerve cells for a long time and is induced when the immune function is low. Its tissue pathology is similar to the former, but the latter is more severe than the former in terms of inflammation.

Herpes simplex virus (HSV) is caused by a DNA virus. Human herpes viruses are divided into two types, namely herpes simplex virus type Ⅰ (HSV-Ⅰ) and herpes simplex virus type Ⅱ (HSV-Ⅱ). Type I primarily causes infection of the skin, mucous membranes (oral mucosa), and organs (brain) other than the genitals. Type II primarily causes skin and mucous membrane infections in the genital area. These two types can be identified by fluorescent immunoassay and cell culture.

Humans are the only natural host of herpes viruses. The virus enters the body through the respiratory tract, oral cavity, genital mucosa and broken skin, and resides in human respiratory mucosa, blood, saliva and sensory ganglion cells. Primary infection is mostly latent, mostly asymptomatic or subclinical, and only some individuals may show clinical symptoms. After primary infection occurs, the virus can remain hidden in the body for a long time. More than 50% of healthy people are carriers of this virus. HSV does not produce long-term immunity in the human body. Whenever the body's immune function declines, such as fever, gastrointestinal dysfunction, menstruation, pregnancy, focal infection and changes in motivation, the HSV hidden in the body is activated and the disease occurs.

What to eat for herpes virus

Patients with viral herpes should eat a light, easy-to-digest diet and avoid spicy, fried, and deep-fried foods as well as seafood. Such as: beef, mutton, pork, fish, onion, ginger, garlic, coriander, banana, etc.

Usually, you should also pay attention to keeping the local area clean, avoid scratching or abrasion of the local area, and prevent secondary infection. It can be cured by combining regular clinical and adequate treatment.

The following points should be noted in the diet of patients with herpes virus:

1. Be careful when eating fatty and greasy foods. Fatty meat, maltose, milk and sweet foods are mostly greasy and fatty, which can easily cause the damp-heat toxins of the disease to be trapped inside the body and cause the disease to linger.

2. Be cautious when eating sour and astringent foods; sour and astringent foods include peas, water chestnuts, pomegranates, taro, spinach, etc.

Traditional Chinese medicine believes that this disease is mostly caused by emotional distress, liver qi stagnation, long-term stagnation turning into fire, and the invasion of toxic evil. Therefore, treatment should focus on promoting qi and blood circulation and removing blood stasis. The sour, astringent and bitter foods mentioned above can easily cause blood circulation obstruction, retention of toxins and aggravate pain.

3. Avoid spicy and hot foods; spicy and hot foods such as ginger, pepper, mutton, beef and fried foods can easily increase fire and heat after eating.

Traditional Chinese medicine believes that this disease is caused by the accumulation of dampness, heat and fire toxins in the skin, so patients with this disease should avoid eating the above-mentioned spicy and hot foods.
